About
Buffalo Run Golf Course is a locally acclaimed 18-hole, municipal course in Commerce City. The links-style layout covers 7,411 yards from its longest tees with a par of 72. Designed by Keith Foster, there are challenging elements such as water hazards and bunkers that come into play on the course. The wind creates difficulty on this golf course. Buffalo Run Golf Course's front nine is less challenging than the back nine but it builds up good practice for the second half of the game. One hole to note is the demanding 13th hole. It is a par-3 that has a well-placed bunker near the green.

Buffalo Run Experience
This course is really getting into good shape. Had a great time and the staff is very hospitable.
Improving Conditions
I have been avoiding this course based on what I've heard about conditions over the past couple of years. I know the course has been struggling to maintain the grass, but the $30 price tag seemed pretty attractive this week.
I'm glad I made it out! Yes, it's basically playing as 16 holes, but the conditions on the open holes are pretty good. The greens were not very fast but they were smooth. The layout is a lot of fun with a large variety of looks off the tee.
The rough was very thick due to the rain we have had over the last couple weeks, so it was tough to find the ball sometimes, and it was almost a punch out when you could locate it. I guess that is appropriate for US open weekend!
Buffalo Run deserves a lot of credit for keeping this course open, and it's obvious that they are trying their best to get everything back to good condition. I always liked the layout here, and I'm looking forward to returning soon!
Great course for the price and for beginners.
Fantastic course with some of the best-kept greens around! Great value for the price and the staff is super friendly, definitely worth a visit. Great for newer golfer! They have been under construction this year to improve the experience.
Sunday Golf Buffalo Run
So disappointing to see this course and how bad the conditions have gotten. Course should be closed. Such poor conditions. Fairways either long or big patches of dirt. Greens were OK, but sad how bad this course looks. Need more water, yet poor drainage in other spots. Very sad how bad this course has gotten.
First timer
First time playing Buffalo Run, and I was slightly disappointed by the course conditions. The fairways were either to wet or bone dry. The overall surface conditions depended on what hole you were on. I won’t be playing here again for the price.
Great day of golf
The staff is always so great. Professional, helpful, courteous and efficient. The food was great as well. I hope and wish that someday this beautiful course will be 'under repair' free. Its such a fabulous facility.

GOOD COURSE,
First two holes need work on the fairways. I think they are under repair and they are working on it. All the other holes were in good shape.
In rough shape, price sucks you in
Course is in rough shape, several fairways have dirt strips. Greens are in decent shape, but price point sucks you in.
Really Beat Up
The entire course is in real bad shape. I know they are working on it it it feels like they have been working on it for years and years. I would stay clear of playing there for the rest of 2025 and hope everything is back in order for 2026.
Wouldn’t recommend Buffalo Run
Poor course conditions in the middle of the high season. Large dirt movers driving right next to golf carts. No driving range-just nets. And none of the aforementioned was notified ahead of time. There’s a reason that it’s easy to get a last minute tee time at this course!
This Course is Coming Back Around!
After years of drainage and irrigation modifications, this course is coming back around.
There are some areas that fancy-pants golfers won't be happy with, and the driving range is closed for reconstruction, but all-in-all it's a good experience.
The current price reflects these challenges. It'll be worth $100/round once everything is back in good condition.
