Only drawback to this course is that you may have a day when there are many tourist groups and they generally play very slow. 5 hour rounds are not uncommon.

Ewa Beach is a beautiful, and wonderfully maintained course. It's very challenging to a hacker like myself, particularly the greens. I would recommend the course to any golfer.
One additional note - Ewa Beach is directly in the flight path of Honolulu International Airport, so you will contend with the noise of arriving planes.

I played Ewa Beach Golf Club on Friday, April 19, 2013. I booked my 12:52 pm GolfNow SuperSaver (Hot Time) tee time 6 days prior, while still in Canada. The GolfNow rate was $65 plus $4.70 tax and on-line fees, for a total of $69.70, a significant savings over the usual non-resident rate. The rate included a power cart, but did not include practice balls, as Ewa Beach Golf Club does not have a driving range.

The Ewa Beach Golf Club is located about a 40 minute drive from Waikiki, West on the H1 and later Highway State Highway 76. You will need a rental car. The course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast for a public golf course, smooth and true. My round took 4 hours and 45 minutes to play. My only complaints are: (1) given the relatively simple and flat nature of the golf course, plus the fact that all golfers are required to use power carts, 4 hours and 45 minutes was too long. Ewa Beach Golf Club is built to accommodate a 4 hour round of golf. (2) Ewa Beach Golf Club, despite a sign at the Pro-Shop that states “a maximum of four players per group”, allows five-somes. The group three groups ahead of ours played as a five-some. I watched them tee off together (as did the “course starter”), and I caught glimpses of them throughout the day. I spoke to one of the course starters after my round about it, and he just shrugged his shoulders and stated that the Pro-Shop sometimes lets five-somes out for regulars or when it is not too busy.

Overall, I was impressed with the condition and quality of the golf course. I have no problem recommending Ewa Beach Golf Clun and stating that I would play Ewa Beach Golf Club again when in Hawaii, especially if I get another GolfNow SuperSaver (Hot Time) tee time.

Greens were excellent, no grain to read. Only question is how to reschedule with Golf Now because of torrential rain. Pro shop said they could not reschedule because of weather.

I love bringing people to this course. Everyone says it is so well-maintained and pristine! It is how every course should strive to be! Such a joy to play here. But the tourists really need to fix their hallmarks and divots. That's just rude to not do it....

I hadn't played Ewa Beach in over 10 years, so it was nice to see the course in really good shape. The only advice I have for you -- watch out for the fast greens! Not that that's a bad thing, but if you can get that in your head before the 17th hole (unlike me), then you'll do well.

You would think looking down the faiways it was a hohum course. Scttered trees line them, BUT they are KIAWE trees. Hard as emquite, the take your ball anywhere they want if you get into them. Lived on Oahu 39 years and #1 or #2 course for great courses on the island. We have a Palmer, Koolau (ough), but this baby is sweet. Hit em straight is all I can say.

Reception of the staff is good!
A clubhouse is also good!
The condition of grass is good!
The back 9 is more wonderful than the front 9!
The traffic of an aeroplane high up in the sky is frequent.
My evaluation is 4/5.

Don't mistake the uncared for area just outside the golf club. The course is great! It's short, but has a little difficulty with well placed trees and bunkers. Greens run super pure and about 11 on the stint. Unbelievable fairways; I dare you to compare with any other on the island. Great to have a couple drivable par 4s on the course. Enjoy!

This is not a high end course, but it is quite nicely maintained, with good fairways, rough and greens. Good value compared with some others with the same green fees but less well maintained. It is relatively easy, although the greens seem hard to read. We played it under three and a half hours, although that was twilight play, with no one in front.

Although this is the best public track on Oahu, the pace of play is super painful. The course marshal does nothing to hurry slow players.

Overall great for the Golf Now price. Too many twosomes made play slow. Greens were very firm. Course conditions were nice, Ver little rough made finding your ball easy.

I booked an afternoon time on Golfnow to get a cheaper price, it was a beautiful course and great conditions, but there were like 3 groups of 5 in front of us, and it was a painful 5.5 hour round. I guess this is pretty standard in hawaii to cater to the Japanese clientele ? Beautiful course though.

We liked this the best of the 6 courses played in 2 weeks. Many yard markers including sprinkler heads. Loved the cooler with 2 bottles of water and appreciated the club cleaning box on the cart. Only detraction was a lack of a driving range.

We were so lucky to find this course on GolfNow. We had a wonderful day of golf at a beautiful course. Fairways and greens were like carpet. Played at a fairly fast pace as well.

The course was in great condition. It was fun & challenging. The staff were very friendly. I rented clubs & they were excellent. No great beach or ocean views but for the price I would definitely recommend the course.

green was good, fairway was o.k
But they don't keep the tee time interval and may be no marshal on sunday, 2 team are waiting on every par 3.
