Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines
About
Located on the west side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii Prince Golf Club is situated on what was once prime sugar cane land. Now the land provides 27 holes of challenging golf with panoramic views of the Waianae Mountain Range. There are three nines that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. A/B is the least difficult of the combinations but there is still plenty of character and variety throughout the golf course. Water hazards come into play on nine holes and there are sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. Although it is considered the least challenging, the A/B features one of the most difficult of all the holes at the club, the last hole on the B course. It is a par 4 with water to the left, front, and right of the tee and it usually plays into the trade winds.

Golfer Reviews
Good Fun
Put us with two very nice gentlemen, and we had a great time and laughed the whole round
Great Course and Good time!
So I’m on holiday and wanted a good course to prep me for the rest of the week of golf and Hawaii Prince Golf Club was a great course! The pace of play was great and the fairways and greens were very nice! The staff was very nice as well and the course was challenging yet doable too! As a newer golfer I was very pleased! This is definitely a golf course to play when on Holiday. Plus if aviation is your thing like it is with me, it was an all day air show over head with lots of civilian and military jets flying into HNL International! Highly recommended! Mahalo 😉
SLOW!!! Pro Shop doesn’t care. AVOID!
Played here on 8/10/26. Staff was friendly and course was in nice condition.
MAJOR issue with pace of play and the lack of response from the pro shop. Over an hour to play the first 3 holes. The cart GPS screen was telling us by hole 2 we were behind the pace of play. I figured the pro shop could see we were behind pace of play and see the two groups in front of us was causing the back up. 3 hours to finish the front 9 and no response from a course Marshall.
On the turn, we did not see the two groups in front of us and thought they either left or played the other 9. I was wrong. The two groups were playing the same back 9 and at several points had 4 groups on the same hole waiting.
I called the pro shop to report the issue. The employee who answered was friendly and assured me they would send somebody out to address the slow play. …They did NOT send anybody out. We finished our round just shy of 6 hours.
While Hawaii Prince is not the most expense course on the island, it’s still a lot of money to pay a course that does not care about your on course experience. Essentially they got our money and said good luck….
Due to the lack of response to the pace of play, which they could clearly see with cart GPS and phone calls, I will not return to this course.
I encourage anybody who doesn’t want to play a 6 hour round of golf, STAY AWAY!
Good value in an expensive market
This course offers above average conditions, layout and amenities. The proshop staff is less than friendly but the starters and cart staff are great. We were charged $5 for the use of an empty bag, it wasn’t the $ but the fact that NO ONE ELSE does this!
The major issue in our round was pace. 10 minute wait at first tee and over an hour to play the first three holes. No marshal, no concern from the pro shop. Quit in disgust after 12 holes in three 1/2 hours.
Needs drink cart
This course severely needs a drink cart and a second employee at the smack shop
Staff was great!!
I ended up running late and they totally didn't seem affected by it. They hooked me up with a great family from Louisiana and I had a wonderful day.

First time to play this course. The course layout was good. Greens are very nice and the views where amazing a good course to play if you ever come to this area I would play it again
no raincheck even when theres torrential rain
torrential downpour during the round. course became unplayable--water pooling everywhere. clubhouse not offering raincheck and was quite rude about it. not sure how they expect guest to continue in those conditions. extremely poor service from a course ran by an upscale hotel company.
