Bay View Golf Course

The course took my license and credit card to hold at the small shack for check in and to insure the cart. At the end of a 3 hr round and dealing with Uber car to get back to Waikiki and rental clubs I forgot to retrieve my card and ID. It is was across the island and I had to hire a driver to go and pick up or I would not get on our flight the next day. They need to just make an imprint of your credit card in the event there is damage to the card not keep them. It cost me an additional $40 to pay an Uber to pick up my cards and return. Also they did not tell us hole 5 was closed so we only played 17. The staff did call me regarding the cards I left which was nice but the course is 30-45 mins from Waikiki and it is executive course which spas not specified. You owe me Golf Now!

Overall this is a fun course. The greens were in excellent shape The course is well maintained. Some of the views were beautiful and overall the setting ians the layout is well done. We enjoyed it

Loved the beautiful views, par 3-4 course, pace of play, and the hot deal price. It was golf cart paths only and the greens were a touch slow but this was due to all the rain received from last week. Only item for a golfer to be aware of is the hidden peddles under a few parts of the fairways. Overall, an amazing golf outing.

Several holes are being reworked and reconfigured. We found it hard to follow from green to the next tee box because many holes are not marked with signage. A hole closed on the front nine (#5 I believe), was moved to the back nine (or back ten?), so keeping scores got a bit tweaked. But....the course is a fun and challenging one. Worth playing again!

Also, a great little driving range.

You can see the owner is spending money trying to make improvements. Some simple not as costly items you can do to improve the course is 1) grow some grass on the blue tee boxes, 2) provide water on the course, 3) punch the greens to soften them up. The greens are so hard if you land a ball on the green it will not stay on. Fix the urinal in the men’s bathroom so it doesn’t overflow on the floor. It’s a fun track for a par 3 course, just needs some fine tuning.

It’s a fun challenging golf course to play while you are visiting Waikiki. Make sure to bring at least three sleeves of golf balls! The front 10 holes is very straight forward layout and lots of birdies to make. The back 8 holes is more challenging set up and it gets hilly up and down. Starting from hole 11 you need to hit it straight or start taking out golf balls! Hole #15, par 4 is a water hazard hole and you are teeing up from the hill and you need to drive it straight down from the hill and if you hit it short the lake is waiting for you and if you hit it right the hills is waiting for you. Hole 16, par 3 you are teeing down the hill and water hazard is on the right. So you need to bring your A game, playing the back 8 holes. I was playing from the blue tee box to make it more challenging. Next time I will be playing from the white tee box!

Need a little course

Needed some instructions on the layout. They were missing an entire hole number five no explanation no idea that a hole was missing.. also very confusing at Holden 11 easy ticket mixed up with another hole.. Had no idea the tee box was a couple hundred yards up From the Teebox that had no markings.. everybody was hitting from the wrong Teebox.

Little strange that they had everybody going off one at a time they didn’t pair up anybody.

Once I paired up with somebody, it seemed more enjoyable.

There were limited tee times when I booked with golf now. But when we arrived the course was dead quiet. 3 of us played from blues and 9 yr old grandson played from whites. 3 hr round. Great course for starting our season. Conditions are rough but greens are true and mostly smooth. Great value.

Staff was rude right away. Course was beat up with no apparent attempt to fix it. Tons of range balls all over the course. Just bad overall

Very friendly starter person,friendly course manager.always asking how was our day of golfing,always concerned about any problems on golf etiquettes and slow play.Course is in pretty good condition now and getting better.price is very reasonable and have exceptional views.Course workers are very respectful. Time of play at Bayview is very good.not like City Courses. City Courses sometimes take 61/2 hrs. To play 18 holes.. as you get older in age you really appreciate a course like this!!! That’s why my Wife,a friend of ours and myself play twice a week here and will always come back and recommend others to play here. Only downside is they need a MARSHAL on the course!!!!🤙👍🤙

Awesome views on nearly every hole! It's a great course to practice your short game. Greens were consistent and fair and not slow. I'm from New England and really enjoyed playing in this awesome climate! Fun time and semi challenging executive 18 hole course. Very friendly staff. Make sure to stop at Jolene's afterwords for a burger and bear...also great!

Buddy and I bought tickets on the honolulu.gov website. Paid $55 each to rent clubs. Mine were okay, but my buddy got two drivers and two 9-irons in his club mix. The course is in very poor condition, most of the tee boxes were hardpan dirt. When we talked to the "lady" in the pro shop at the turn about our rental clubs she gave us a bunch of attitude and we decided to just quit and go home. My impression is the course is a goat track and the customer service is poor. Golf elsewhere!

Course lay-out was prettry okay but course condition was too bad even for practice.

They offer 6 par-4 holes and 12 par-3 holes. Actually even par 4 holes were as short as 250-330 yards so the driver was not required.

It was hard to understand that they kept my ID as well as credit card as security deposit.
