About
Blackberry Oaks in Bristol is a public golf course that has been recognized as one of the Chicagoland area's best courses. The course design utilizes the natural beauty and hazards of the landscape including the native wetlands, grassy prairies, and towering stands of mature oaks. Blackberry Creek also meanders through the course. In addition to the natural hazards, a heavy smattering of strategically placed bunkers was also incorporated into the design. Although it can seem intimidating, the golf course isn't overly formidable if you can manage to stay out of the sand and water. The third and 12th holes are two par 4s that are memorable for their water hazards. The third has a lake along either side and the 12th has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water.

Course in Great shape
Course is in great shape. Greens are still a little slow, but rolled true. Very enjoyable.
Blackberry Oaks
The course was pretty good conditions just a little slow on the greens but not too bad shape. I shot 84 with some big numbers but I know that I just need to improve on my distances to holes and short game for sure. My ballstriking was good yesterday I hit some incredible shots and striped pins. But yeah overall a good course to play.

Deceptive but fair
You can score on this course but you will need to keep your ball in play. Not a lengthy course but greens are very well protected. A very good challenge for the low handicapper.

Great round
There were some aeration of fairways but didn't complicate play. Greens rolled true. Food was great at 19th hole. Very good experience overall!!

Nice layout with scenic holes
Has a very nice layout that is open but with back tee locations this keeps challenging your game with interesting and unique perspectives that bring a completely different look to many holes. Always super nice staff and great conditions out here, especially this late in the season. If you have not played Blackberry Oaks, I would recommend you do, its a really fun course with a cool verity of scenic holes with creeks and trees lining fairways in the western suburbs, that's a must play!

Fair Challenge
A nice course with bent grass fairways, ample size greens that are guarded by sand bunkers, prairie grass here and there and a meandering creek.
A challenging course, yet a fair test that allows the use of most of your clubs.
Nice clubhouse, a restaurant to grab something to eat or drink and a friendly staff.

Beautiful golf experience at a low cost
The course was in great shape and has been improved by removal of much of the unplayable long grass in the rough.

Good deal for under $20
It's a pretty good deal if you can find it under $30

They do not manage tee times
Played here three times, all during the day, during the week. Plan on 5 hrs or more, they don't manage tee times well. Course otherwise great for the price.

Challenging but fun
Course was in great condition. Just too windy to truly say we enjoyed our round. Will play again and be more cautious of the wind. Very open to weather conditions

Beautiful and challenging course. Lots of sand.
Have gotten great rates to play this course. It can be challenging with lots of sand and narrow fairways, but well kept and fun to play.

Nice little find
My first round at the course showed it to a fun course. A bit challenging with water and sand but just the right mixture of challenge and fun.

was my first time to play the course.
Fairways and greens in good condition.
Didn't liked the layout to much.

Great place to play!!!
What a beautiful layout and overall setup!!! This course is definitely in the top ten west of Randall rd to play!! Very nice people working there, very nice clubhouse and bar. Great food!! Course was in fantastic condition. It's shorter but very challenging, makes you use all your clubs and have to be able to think your way around the course. Tee to green a great course!! Definitely recommend this as a have to play!! Will be going back for sure, and easy to get to!!

Going Back to This Course
We only played 5 holes due to heavy rain and lightning. However, this course had excellent fairway and greens. The rough was very tough due to standing water and high grass. We got an excellent rate of $33.00 for 18. We plan to turn in our rain ticket credits and give this course another go very soon.

Fantastic condition
I really like this course. In immaculate condition plenty of water and native grass to catch wayward shots. Nice variety of holes. Took my 13 year old son and we still finished in 3 hours. Would recommend you play here.

Glad to get a Hot Deal and be able to walk
I prefer to walk and carry when I golf and this is the first Hot Deal I've seen on Golfnow.com that lets you do that. Excellent value. I always enjoy Blackberry Oaks. A challenging layout. Great walkers course, not too many hills. And the train sounding on your back swing is ambiance not available elsewhere!

Beware the Hot Deal
Cart is not included on thoer Hot Deal. So be careful to book hot deal. They charge $10 each for the cart. Without the catch, it is very nice golf course. Fairways are maintained awesome. Sand feels nice and soft. Green is little slow but I played right after the rain so probably that is why. Nice view and challenging layout. If the Hot Deal includes cart, i would give five star since it is incredible deal. But it is still worth to play.
