Reviews
Nice Challenge. Friendly staff
Course was a good challenge. Pace of play wasn't too bad.
Course was in decent shape. It helps to know the course. Fortunately I got paired up with some who knew the course and gave local knowledge. Saved me at least 5-7 strokes.
Worth checking oit.
Fun to play.
Fun course with interesting hazards. Enjoyed shorter holes with doglegs. Some holes look easy but don't be greedy. Short shots and layups pay off. Greens a bit rough but it was the end of the weekend. Good value.
May Golf
Quality course, friendly staff and very helpful. Beginning of the season so I'm sure they will have drink carts during summer months. Greens are in good shape, will probably get harded as the summer air dries them out.
Challenging little course
The course is challenging due to lots of water, trees, and hidden landing areas. The greens were in beautiful shape. The fairways and tee boxes could use some tender care. Overall, I enjoyed playing this course that was new to me.
Memories
This was the first time I had played the Prairies since shortly after they opened in 1996. It was a tournament for Mehlville high school. Memorable as a unconfirmed tornado came across the course when our foursome was furthest from the clubhouse. You should be proud of your course. Best park course in Illinois.
Review
Enjoyable round only effected by the wind. Considering it is March, the fairways were relatively "full" and the greens were in great shape.
Great time
The course was in great shape, pace of play excellent. Ease of checking in fabulous!
Fun course to play, good value, worth a second look
Course is short from the regular tees, but it offers several classic risk/reward holes where you must decide at the tee whether to gamble or play smart. Gamble and hit it in play and you've got a flip wedge to the green; gamble and miss and you're in jail or reloading. You can make a lot of birdies, but also some bogeys, doubles or worse.
I can't wait to play this course again when it's green and the grass is not dormant. It appears you need to play this course a few times to know how to play it. There are 3-4 holes I will definitely play differently the second time: a couple more aggressively, a couple with more "discretion" off the tee.
Prairies
The greens r supper fast n in excellent condition some of the best I've played this year just wish the fairways had more grass a little bare
Nice course for the money
Very playable and very player friendly especially for women
Great staff
We played on a low volume winter day, so the pace was as quick as we could play. But the course was is good shape, especially considering the amount of rain we had days prior. The greens were in good shape.
But the staff at the pro shop was outstanding. We had a tee time, he had the cart ready and waiting and we were off to the first tee in minutes.
Excellent
Excellent course for the money. Rates are very fare especially if you use hot deal. Some easy holes and some challenging holes. Overall a great afternoon.
Good Course/Bad Outing
The course was great. I just had a bad outing.
All in All I had fun.
