2 Courses in 1
Great layout, old school charm, but definitely can tell the "new"1995 holes from the original 1924 holes. All holes are good, just very different. Greens probably need and update and revision to original size. But overall, great value for money and fune to play.
Mature course with challenging greens
Very nice course with old stately trees, large greens. It was hot so we were the only idiots on the course, hence, play was uninterrupted. Friendly bar tender and good food choices after the round. Worth the trip.
Dio like a challenge
A good challenging course. The greens are a challenge as well. Not very many flat straight putts.
still a classic golf course. greens were outstanding, extremely quick but fair pin placements.
fairways were rolling well, greens were outstanding and pace of play was outstanding. well worth the hour drive to play. nice to see Tim Davis in the pro shop.
This course is always a joy to play.
That doesn't mean it's easy. It will challenge your skills. It is always it great condition. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. And in the Fall the trees are very colorful. Do not miss this gem.
Great time!
Love this course. Saw a playoff for the members or an outing. Weather was great. A lot of great activity going on, and enjoyed the brisket sandwich after my round. Enjoyed it immensely! Tim is awesome!
Hidden Gem
Perfect value. The course layout is awesome for being in the middle of Indiana, lots of change in elevation but nothing that’s unfair. The greens were in great condition, smooth and fast. Fairways were also in excellent shape. I was just so impressed with how interesting the holes were. Harrison Hills is beautiful, well kept, challenging, and overall just a fun course to be on. All for $40.
8/26/2024 senior group
Start with cons
Pro shop on Mondays doesn’t open till 9am
Had 10am tee times
Not enough time too hit balls
Had 11 in group from Greenwood and Indianapolis
Long drive + 92 degrees lack of drinking water on course
Got done Maggie’s grill closed
All wanted drinks and food had to go to local bar in Attica
Pros
Course in good shape But bunkers not😡
Harrison Hills golf course
Golf carts were suggested instead of walking because they said it was "crowded". It wasn't crowded so I wished I would have walked. The price is the same whether yo walk or ride, I get that which encourages riding to speed play (I think). Some of the holes are hilly, the first one especially but most are flat. Good course for the location of a small town.
Great Value
Played on a Tuesday morning. Drove in from Indy, about an hour 48 mins. So it’s a good haul. Course was in nice shape. Pretty good for a small town course. Good challenges as well. A few elevated greens to make it fun. Range area is pretty nice. We arrived around 7am or so, but the pro shop didn’t open till about 7:30 or 7:45. So we weren’t able to use its amenities before our round started at 8am. However, there was nice gentleman who I believe was part of groundskeeping because he wasn’t able to access the clubhouse. But he was nice enough to bring a cart and direct us to the range. About 15 mins later, who we believe was the pro, a young guy, drove to us at the range and reprimanded us for not checking at the pro shop first before going on the range. When we tried to explain to him that we tried, and the shop was closed, he kept saying “it’s fine”. Other than that weird interaction with the pro, the course is pretty cool. I would recommend but it will probably be a while before I come back.
For fathers Day
The club pro was super and the experience was amazing.
One of my favorites in the state because of many reasons especially because of the design and history.
The greens were super cool and fast. I will definitely drive the hour and a half drive again this year again
Historic layout. Great value.
Drove a long way here with a friend to check another Indiana course off my list. Overall, I was not disappointed. Enjoyed the unique layout, especially the 100 year old holes. Pace of play was reasonable for a Saturday. Friendly/welcoming staff - the head pro even greeted us and gave us some local knowledge while we were waiting to tee off. The course conditions were average at best. Food after the round was solid. My expectations were high given the “Top 10 Public Indiana Course” rating, and my opinion is that this has a lot to do with the history of the course.
5/25/2024 father and son
Was running late from Indianapolis due to interstate traffic. Called pro shop and young man that answered was more then nice and accommodating to get us out.
Pros:
Overall course conditions great
Greens have plenty of slope
Greens speed good consistency
Nice carts
Well worth 60 mile drive from Indy
Cons:
Only con I have is would be nice for front middle back colored flags
Didn’t have anything for my son today
Shot 76 from tips 😂
Great round in February
Thanks to the staff and course management. Love coming here to eat a brisket sandwich and play a terrific but difficult course. Greens are always nice and roll smooth. Bunkers can be deadly here.
