Turnberry Country Club

Was a bit worried about the reviews on the owner at the course. Used to be a member and thought Sonny has done a nice job with course condition, amenities and even had a cart girl on course with reasonable beer prices. ($4.00 fair price) I thought the removal of some of the trees was well done and the course for the cost if a very fair deal. Will go back.

We showed up for our 10:24 tee time on a Monday holiday, and they didn't have carts. I've never played at a course that ran out of carts. Groups were delayed teeing off because there were folks who couldn't walk the course. My dad and I ended up getting push carts to play the front 9 assuming they would have more carts at the turn as groups finished. That turned out not to be the case, and we stopped after 9 holes.

Pace of play was brutal. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to play the front. There were no rangers or managers helping solve the cart issue or pace of play.

It seems like this course hit its potential years ago, and the only thing left of those times is a large clubhouse and crumbling parking lot. I feel bad for the few workers who were there. They clearly weren't getting any support from management.

The course conditions were fine, especially given the drought we are in. Given everything that happened, my dad and I actually had a great time walking the course and making the most of a less than ideal situation.

I wouldn't recommend going back until they get their process figured out.

you should not have a 9:52 tee time and finish at 3:05.. They overbooked 3 foursomes somehow???? so we were late teeing off and waited on every hole after that. does not

make it a fun round of golf

Very crowded, with mo starter and no ranger to control pace of play. Love this course, but lacks management. They also ran out of carts. I hope things can change to help control the pace. 2 somes were out and singles, and no one was trying to pair people up to control what was happening on the course.

Booked a Father's Day $75/per round. Got there and there weren't enough golf carts so two of my group had to walk. Throughout the course saw people riding around in one golf cart per person and then pushing up on us even though we were playing best ball and our average hole time was less than 10 minutes despite the walking. Had to finally remind the drinks person to get us a golf cart and we got it after 3 different reminders. When your staff is a frat bro from Florida and is the most senior person there with 3 people in braces, chewing gum and making Tik-toks, this is what you get. On par with Cary country club -- at least they don't make qualms about being something they're not. Not sure I'd spend more than $30/round despite it being a really nice property.

The cart paths and asphalt areas are in need of major repairs. There was no starter present, so I guess you go off not knowing whether you have others to play with at that time. The round started slowly and was backed up for the first 4 holes. After that the pace of play was good. The course layout is very nice and it is in a beautiful area. Greens could be a little better; they seem dried out in places. Overall the course is a reasonable value GPS on carts would help. Without GPS they should use colored sticks in the fairway instead of difficult to find markers in the ground.

Front 9 was great, the back had at least two groups of 6 playing so I went back and played the front again, A lot of young kids really slowed it down, the course was in good shape

The red tees on hole 8 are completely blocked by overhanging tree limbs. And if the flag had been on the left side of the green it would have been impossible to get to it.
