Eagle Pointe Golf & Tennis Resort

If you like crabgrass, you will love this course. Granted it is late August, but the course was in poor shape. You have to hit off of dirt, rocks, or anything else that is there. Obviously a nice course in its day, but the overall condition is about like playing in a cow pasture.

This is a nice challenging course. Plays long from the whites, blues, or blacks. Lots of interesting holes. One of the nicer courses in the area. Could be the best in the area if some of the details were attended to better.

I've played Eagle Pointe many times over the years. Let's just say both management and the course have had its ups and downs. Fortunately, it appears that they are back on the upswing. The course is in great shape and the person/people running it seem to know what they're doing.

Greens are hard as a rock. Can't stick the ball at all, even with a brand new Cleveland 60 degree and ProV1 ball. Many brown patches and bare spots on greens. Fairways are also hard as a rock. Impossible to divot off the fairways. It's easier to hit out of the rough. Tee boxes are good and sand is well maintained. Fairways need to be watered much more and the greens are awful. However, for the $10 golfnow price I didn't expect much. However, the course normal fee is $40ish and I would never pay that for the horrible condition the courses are in.

Fantastic deal, couldn't beat the price. Staff was great when I arrived, it was a slow day (Thursday), was able to go off early, played 18 in 3 hours! Played alone only had to play through one group, stood and chatted with them on the tee since it was so slow. Played two balls on all holes, the course was in great shape! Rough was very tough, even lost a few balls on "good" shots a couple yards off fairway or green!

Highly recommend course even at regular rates, can't miss with the specials they offer. Looking forward to going back.

This is a very nice course. I rated the course as challenging; however, it did not feel like a challenge, the stroke just seem to keep adding up.

played for the first time, greens were firm but fair, course was in very good shape. The course has a nice design to it greens are different shapes and sizes and can be penal if you short side yourself, all in all a very nice experience

Our foursome thoroughly enjoyed the conditions of the course and the pace of play. Other courses we played in the area were severely affected by this year's drought conditions. But, this course had well conditioned fairways and greens with minimal problems with fall(en) leaves. The greens were faster than we were accustomed to, but they were also consistent.

A fairly hilly course south of Bloomington close to Lake Monroe which offers a nice variety of wide open and narrow tee shots along with a good mix of approaches and greens that will surely test one's ability.
