Lifetime playing this course
Please just fill up the 9th and 18th holes with dirt please immediately. Seriously what's the point I'd rather just hit off of dirt and my own T in the center of the fairway temporarily instead of literally sinking when I walk because hacks did the civil engineering and people's grey water is draining into the tiny fairway valley and smells like sewer and.is UNPLAYABLE. Just fill it up with dirt pitch it away from the green overtime and put some grass seed on it.
Great Layout, early spring grass has not come in ,wet FW
Layout is great, some areas are difficult, this time of year grass is thin and just coming in. greens were as good as I have found this year. Fun course.
Decreasing Quality - Get What You Pay For
I have played this course many times while attending SIUE. It was great - $25 and a nice course. However, the course condition continued to decrease during my time in college. I recently returned to the course after two years and it is a dump. I have never seen the fairways and greens in such poor condition. I did not recognize any of the people working there so it maybe under new management. Either way - very disappointing.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review at Fox Creek Golf Club. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Disappointed
We play year round and other courses in the area are in much better condition.. 5 hour round and didn't see any grounds crew or marshal at all. It was supposed to be cart path only and there were players slip sliding all over the course.

The Fox is back!!!!!
The course is improving all the time. The greens where great and the fairways where outstanding. It is well maintained and improving. Outstanding staff and grounds crew. Will play there a lot more.
Disappointing
This course has a good course layout and pretty good greens, but the terrible shape of their tee boxes, fairways, support staff, and attitude of its regulars put a bad taste in my mouth of the overall experience. I think this course can turn into something very nice, but it’ll take some time and care.
They're Trying
I play the course regularly and would say this is the best condition I have seen it in, in awhile. There was a crew of two guys working on the bunkers on every hole. It ad gotten in pretty rough shape but they are definitely making an effort to improve playing conditions. Give it a try, the price is right!
Believe the reviews.
Greens in good shape. Tees and fairways non-existent. You cannot play the ball where it lies. Pace of play was good because no one else was out there. Bermuda grass is not a good choice for this latitude. Having lived in Ohio, Arizona and California, St Louis golf leaves a lot to be desired, but this place takes the cake.
Hasn’t changed
I used to play this course when I was a student at SIUE years ago. Once I graduated and moved out of state, I was sad to not be able to play the course as often as before.
Well, I was finally able to return for a round and the course didn’t disappoint. It’s exactly as I remember it. Course in good shape and greens roll great! Fairways have some rough patches, but it’s nothing to complain over; just move your ball a yard or so to a good spot.
Great course
I’ve played here many times and it’s a great course for the money. Well kept up. They were doing some work so a few rough spots but they are always trying to maintain and improve. One of our favorite courses
Horrible golf course
It was hard to determine where the fairway was compared to the rough and half the time the fairway had no grass. The greens looked like a bunch of hoarded went for a run on them. I get that over the golf season the courses take a lot and it’s hard to keep them looking Preston’s but gosh dang it looked like nothing was done on this course to make it look nice. Went there once and will never go again.
Great layout
After reading reviews I contacted the course on facebook and asked what issues the course was having. They took the time to explain most of the bad reviews about condition were related to weather and the type of grass that is used for the fairways needing gradual climate change instead of drastic like we had this season. We took a chance with the hour drive and went and played anyways. With the exception of the 3rd fairway the rest of the course was well above what was expected. Most other fairways had grass returning or enough grass that you could easily play out of. Most of the tee boxes were in good shape with the exception of a few that were tree covered and a little bare. The greens however were excellent. Rolled true, consistent speed, and not a bad spot due to a maintenance issue. Will make the trip back when the course has a little more grow time to see what it is like in its full glory.
Disappointed
I play one round a year with my friends and I was very disappointed in the condition of the course. The tees were full of weeds and the fairways were diseased and down to bare dirt and mud. The one positive I can say about the course is that the greens were in pretty good shape and rolled true. We will be choosing a different course next year.
Stay Away!!!
Horrible conditions, no fairways or tees, greens decent! Paid $22 on GolfNow had I known the shape of course would not pay 2 cents!!!
