Sunset Valley Golf Club

So great to be able to play golf on December 9th. Sunny and beautiful. Course was in excellent shape. Couldn’t ask for more.

Cold, blustery, wet, miserable. Torture. It was awful!

I played Sunset Valley last year, but was only able to play the front 9 twice due to flooding on the back nine. The course was in good condition and the layout is challenging, but fun. Brought a friend who said he'll definitely be back. Tucked between other country clubs, this is a great public track.

First time playing. Will definitely be back. Greens are best around.

Extremely well-maintained course. Typical old-time layout with numerous parallel fairways, that is not a criticism just a description. Greens are smooth and fast. Recent renovation a real success. Definitely worth a visit.. Easy to walk, will value for the price.

Never played here and was very surprised at the quality of the course and greens. Will definitely be playing again

Very large, undulated, and fast greens. Enjoyable challenge. Pristine condition of all surfaces despite many unrepaired ball marks. Fairly flat which makes for an easy walk, but with the Links- inspired mounding and bunkering plenty challenging.

This course is definitely growing on me the more I play it. Fair but interesting and challenging. Really nice staff. Easy to walk. Great early round to start the day.

Played early in the morning, staff was friendly and helpful during my arrival. The only downside of Sunset Valley is the lack of a range. Greens were in great condition and really got fast later in the day, with some tough pins being below the hole was important. Solid lay out with some interesting bunkering, playable course and you can get away with spraying it a bit off the tee.

I will be back again this summer.

With regards to the course itself, it is in pristine condition. They have really maximized the land that they have and even though it is fairly flat like most of Illinois, the contouring around the greens is good. Greens rolling nicely.

I was happy with the pace of play and it seemed rangers actually cared about it which is far too uncommon for public courses in the burbs. Will definitely be back.

Hot sunny mid-morning round. Course in good shape, very fair. Good shots rewarded. Playable. Hot dogs & brats at the turn with the order ahead link from the linked cart. Pleasant beverage cart we saw 3-4x over the 18 holes. Nice patio set up for a pop after the round. Would play there again.

Sunset Valley undertook a significant course upgrade. The course conditions were very good and the greens were rolling very well.
