Good golf course for the value, greens in excellent shape, challenging although not long from the back tees, fairways don’t give a lot of roll so the course effectively plays longer. Golf course is out in front of you so there’s no mystery in where to hit the shot, 11 is a severe dogleg right and you will be blocked out if you can’t dive the ball at least 210 yards past the trees on the right. Al in all a fair test of golf.
Better than before
I avoided Deerpath while the Army Corps of Engineers was building a new retention pond. During that construction project, the course was forced to use a temporary green on 17 and temporary tee on 18. Now that the work has been done, both holes are better than before. Overall the course conditions also seem improved. The course is flat, but trees and hazards make it plenty challenging. I’ll gladly play again.
Pace of Play
Play faster than the standard 15 minutes a hole or under 2 hours for 9 holes otherwise the ranger will heckle you. We finished at 4 hours 2 minutes for 18 holes and were approached 3 times… very annoying.
Good public course.
Carts are decent
Fairways are open
Sand traps are ok
Greens in good condition (not a lot of marks), avg slope
Tee boxes are well kept
Country Club Vibe - Public Course
I like Deerpath for many reasons. Starting with the pre round options, I like the grass tees driving range, plus the 18 hole putting and chipping area known as the lawn is awesome. The starters and gm always are polite and try to accommodate if things come up. The layout is not overly difficult and the greens roll very nicely. Only downside are the bunkers as sometimes the sand is hard or not enough. Pace of play is usually good and I typically have a great experience overall. I highly recommend Deerpath.
Bad rough
The rough there was 2 feet high and I could barley get my ball out of their and had to take 2 strokes every hole just to get out of it if not more, bad course upkeep, very disappointing
Traditional North Shore Track
Mature trees line the fairway, tees and greens are in great shape, and pace of play was excellent. Def a good value when considering green fees for the experience
Great Course!
Just an all around positive experience. We golf here 2-3 times a year, and we look forward to our next round.
