Ironwood
Hadn't played here in > 15 years. I thought the course was in great shape other than the greens which had too may ball marks not fixed by golfers as well as the tee box not in the best condition. Otherwise still great value in pricing and amenities.
Where’s the Gazebo?
I was visiting my daughter. Had planned to play 18, but she had a few things for me to do so I could only fit 9 in. Found Itonwood on Golf Now. It would have been $34, but I had a coupon and some credits, so I played 9 on a Friday for only $20! And, played alone. Would’ve finished in an hour, but caught up to another solo golfer, so it took maybe an hour 20.
Scary thing was someone took my clubs. I set them outside the pro shop for 2 minutes to check in. Came out and they were gone. We found them, but I didn’t think the golf course people were apologetic or empathetic. Oh, shot 48, lost 2 balls.
Really nice front 9
I was only able to play the front 9. The course setup was fun. Drainage was great, it rained the morning i played. Starting the round at 11am, the course was quite dry.
No Ball Washers
Ironwood charges a higher price to play but have ZERO ball washers on their 27 holes. Lack of trashcans as well
Great course
We really enjoyed the course. It is one of my favorite courses in central Indiana. I try to make sure I play there once a year. The day we played it was very hot and there were no water coolers on the course. It would be very nice to have available water on hot days. It also seemed as if the course was over booked. Our tee time was on a weekday and at10:36 and we finally teed off at 10:50, which is not too bad. But the pace was extremely slow, we had a 5+ hour round of golf.
Etiquette???????
Arrived on the first, there was a 2 ball waiting in front of me. 2 more joined them, all 4 said hi, so ALL were aware I was on my own. They proceeded to play 4 holes before allowing me, to play thru. Some of the green had multiple pitch marks, some tee boxes were a mess of divots.
Won't be back.
Hard to navigate
Hard to navigate this course. Cart paths far from greens and fairways in many places. Lots and lots of unfilled divots. Slooow play.
Excellent Staff, very accommodating and professional
I showed up for my teatime to find out. I was 24 hours late, they were able to get me on the course without delay. This is an above and beyond all expectations. I was willing to pay again in the staff was going to get me on Even though it was my mistake. I will continue to go to IronWood as it’s one of the better courses in Hamilton County in the staff is way above any other. .
Thanks again
Beautiful course
A little confusing layout 19-27. Beautiful course though. Well kept. A little soggy, but nothing they can do about that with all the rain we have had. Really enjoyed it. And the price was great.
