Foss Park Golf Course has a convenient location in North Chicago that is an easy drive in from the city. It's a public course that is known amongst locals for being one of the area's best golf values. The layout is wide-open save for three holes that are framed by towering mature trees. The golf course strikes a good balance between being challenging and playable. The fairways are narrow and demand accuracy but the massive greens are more forgiving. Each hole offers a variety of different playing options, which makes the course appealing to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course has plenty of sand, plus water hazards come into play on several holes. There is also a driving range and large practice putting green available at Foss Park G.C.

Slow pace
There is no ranger telling people to hurry up. People in front were Taking like 25 min per hole.

Slow play
It took me 2.8 hours to play 9 holes with a cart. Sloooow play and payed for 18 holes what a waste of time and money.

I have played their twice this year and the course is in very good condition but the people that play there have no golf Etiquette, they play up on you. Other people cut in front of you. It’s a problem there when you can’t just enjoy your day on the course.

Course was fine, management and service bad
Booked a tee time for myself, the tee time was never filled up so was supposed to play by myself. Ended up getting paired with another gentleman which was fine.
I prepaid for the green fee and cart, but when I got the course, the worker told me I had to either ride with the other gentleman, pay for another cart fee on top of what I already paid, or leave.
Aside from the horrible customer service, the course was in good shape and the golf part of it was sufficient.
