Midlane Country Club

Everything was great except the bunkers.. some were filled with standing water. While that was bad, the greens made up for it. Rolling very nice and on line - great course and layout!

Midlane Country Club is a great course for for all levels of golfers. Looks challenging on the t-box yet fairways are wide and driveable..However, be on the lookout for sloopy greens andbtricky pins placement that will derail your almostnperferct round. Good luck and happy swinging!!

We have been coming here a few times a year for the past 5 years and every year it seems to get worse. There is no attention made towards the course at all. It’s fine that the clubhouse and pro shop aren’t very good (more on that shortly) but at least keep the course nice.

Pace of play: we had a husband and wife couple in front of us but they actually played separate. He played the hole and then she played the hole. It was crazy to watch.

The course: the layout is great, however the greens and fringe have plenty of dying grass and large dead spots. Trees have fallen throughout the course and they’re still there, some for a couple years. The cart paths are absolutely horrendous and by the 5th hole you do everything to avoid them… yes they are that bad. The 6th hole is just a complete swamp that even though I hit my shot right center of the fairway way I couldn’t get my ball cause of the swamp, yes I know there’s water on that hole but the swamp is separate from the water. The list goes on but yes the course needs some massive TLC.

The clubhouse/proshop: I don’t mind that the pro shop is now a table to the side of the clubhouse but at least make it a little neater and professional. We played on a Friday afternoon and since there were no beverage carts we were going to get a couple drinks prior to teeing off. I ordered a captain n Diet Coke. He went to grab the captain and didn’t have it so went to a basket and grabbed the little airline bottles of captain which doesn’t even hold enough alcohol for a full drink. The proceeds to fill it with the remaining Diet Pepsi that was in a can and then grabbed a fresh Diet Coke to top it off… who mixes Diet Pepsi with Diet Coke in a drink. I gave up on drinks after that and ordered a hot dog. That hot dog had to have been cooked the day before minimum. The dog itself was brown/gray. And then in was hard as a rock. Exactly how you would expect a bun and dog to be that had sat under a heat lamp for an entire day if not 2 days.

Overall it was not a good experience and the course has unfortunately been moved to our “No Play” list. For the cost there are cheaper places that across the bored are much better. Better course maintenance, better food and drinks, more professional.

This has been a favorite of mine for several years but course conditions started to decline. Great bones, fun but challenging layout. Under new management now (met the new GM, Michael, on course ... GREAT GUY). Wonderful staff. Course improvements are already being made. Really excited to see this course's transformation.

Very tough course, need to be straight, all of the time, or bring a bag of balls.

I have played here a few times. We go out of tradition but this last time was so exciting. First we noticed the fairways. Next (my buddy, I had GIR) noticed the sand traps. Nice fine sand. We said to ourselves "someone is putting in love and attention". We then met some new staff and we're blown away.

Between the improvements of the course and the mew staff, I am predicting this is going to become a talk of the town regionally inside 18 months.

Having heard about Midlane for years, I was curious to try it. The fairways and greens were in good shape, there are some interesting holes, and the price was great. But overall, I’m not likely to play it again any time soon. Too many holes are tricked out target golf with water hazards that create very small landing areas. The tee boxes and cart paths are in bad condition. There are no rangers, let alone a beverage cart. The carts have no GPS. The driving range is in a weird place nowhere near the clubhouse or first tee. And for a first-timer, it’s very difficult to tell that you’ve even arrived at the correct place when you get to a parking lot with a seemingly vacant banquet hall and no signs telling you that the pro shop is tucked around the corner or that you should get a key from said pro shop so you can drive a cart over a makeshift path into the parking lot to load your clubs. I understand the place fell on hard times and that current ownership has invested to bring it back to life, but it still has a long way to go.

I had played this course a number of years ago, and was impressed. However, my round on 6/19/2026 was very disappointing. Clubhouse was worn and many repairs needed. Men's washroom had extremely loose faucets and the hallway had torn up walls. The course itself needs major work. TEE boxes in extremely poor condition, greens were very rough, and general landscaping was missing the mark. Bunkers had gravel and weeds growing in them. The layout is good, the course is very beautiful, but the playability was very substandard. It's a shame, as this could be a really good golfcourse.

Played here a couple of times previously and came back this year super impressed with the work that new ownership is putting into it. Still not perfect, but sand traps on the front 9 are getting better. Staff was good, but I would come back every time for the cart girl. She made sure to always be around for us and she had everything on the cart we needed. Hot, tall, and knows golf... come back just to talk to her again.

I recently played this course, having played it a couple of years back (and vowing to not return), not remembering the name from before.

I got a Hot Deal...so, for what I paid, it was as expected, and exactly what I remembered from previously.

Fantastic layout....BUT, no sand in fairway bunkers...clover Everywhere in the rough and surrounding the greens....dead trees, etc.

It's a shame that a course with such outstanding architecture has been let go to this extent.

I used to play this course 5-10 times each year going back about 10 years. At that time, the course was well maintained, and although it had a few areas with poor drainage, overall it was usually in very good shape. I was very disappointed in the course condition this year. To be fair, it rained heavily overnight prior to our morning tee-time, but the course was in rough shape. Fairways were mediocre, rough was all weeds, tee boxes burned, and cart paths were in need of major work. Midlane is a nice track, I hope it can return to the level of quality where it was at a few years ago. I'd still recommend it, but only if price is significantly less than other area courses.

First time here and i love the layout. We played from the blue's and from the golds it looks extremely tough. The greens were a bit slow but this is after a rain the day before. Driving range is a few holes away but really nice for an old school place. With new owners my hope would be spent on the course itself. Some of the sand traps were overgrown with weeds but again the climate is to grow everything. Let me focus on the course as i loved the risk and reward type holes and there's plenty here as water comes into play around the greens many times like an island of water with the green guarded with sand traps. The finishing hole is probably my favorite with a good tee shot you can dare to go for it as there's no room for error with water and a winding fairway it's tight. I had to even drop a few ball just to try it as it's one of the toughest holes to look at and play. They course is also misleading as the trees are well established and the trick you on how far the hole looks. The other thing I like is the fact that many holes are very different and you're always looking for the less risky way to play the hole. The clubhouse is very generic but the course lives up to the price and overall fun you'll have avoiding the waters. Cart girl has everything you need as they just got their liquor license and the girl was very helpful and aways around when we needed. Again I really enjoyed my first time here and I can't wait to come back. Check it out and thank me later.
