Sugar Creek Summer 2022
I used to live in Villa Park, just 10 minutes away and played this course many times.
The layout is perfect for the average golfer, but you really need to hit fairways.
On the down side, pace of play seems to always be slow, don't expect to finish in less than 2 hours. I have experienced up to 3 hours during peak times (full course).
Greens are very difficult to read line and speed, thereby challenging, one of the reasons I like this course. After a few rounds you will notice your putting has improved.
Course conditions are always great, they do take very good care of it.
I like to spread out my golf to many courses around Chicago, and expect to play here at least a couple times each year.
If You're Not Tech Savvy It's Impossible To Make A Tee Time
Our foursome used to play here regularly up until they quit taking phone reservations. With three of us in our eighties and none of us being tech savvy we unfortunately had to give up golfing here. Otherwise there isn't much to complain about except for the lack of food options. Literally everyone who works there was always up beat, friendly, and welcoming, the course is usually in pretty good shape and always challenging, so if they ever start taking phone reservations again we'll definitely return!
Great play for value
Nice course to play always able to get on at an affordable price
Youth and senior rates
You should bring back the youth rates some more of the young players can come out with their families
Fairway conditions
The mower left the grass lying on the fairway. There were clumps of wet grass throughout the course. Can the grass be picked up? It sure would make it much nicer.
Excellent Park District Course
SC is the best 9-hole park district course I’ve played in a very long time. Challenging, but not overbearing. I found the greens to be in immaculate condition for the time of year and the day after a heavy rain storm. Clubhouse staff excellent. Good value for the buck. Will be playing this course again and again.
The best quick 9 around
The course layout is short and straightforward. But the greens always roll so great! The conditions are really good for a park district 9hole. It’s the best option for beginners and a spot where you can score low for better players. If you have 90 mins, this is perfect!

Excellent condition
The course was in perfect condition as always just wish people would stop dragging their feet on the greens and repair there ball marks

Awesome 9 hole
This is a great 9 hole course for right before or after work, it is a shorter course with 1 drivable par 4 and no par 5s.
