Tee box's a little hairy, fairways good, greens could use more work

Hardly anyone on the course on what should have been a busy day.

The greens were not in good shape, but the rest of the course was okay.

Overall, it was an enjoyable round.

Played on a cold cloudy day in early march. Staff is always friendly. Coarse was in pretty good shape for so early in the year. Only complaint was the very rough cart path.

i forgot to do a review last year...im just a bogey type golfer and i shot a 38 on the front here and left some shots on the front...missed a couple short putts..this course is at the top of my list for overall good courses and friendly people. the only thing left to say i was sad yesterday when i had a tee time here and got rained out and didnt get to play. but i will make another reservation and see if i can duplicate or better my score..

The course has a good layout and it was a alright round but the course hasn't been maintained in months. All tee boxes are extremely rough along with majority of the greens on the course but the most disappointing part of Brook hill was the staff. Not very friendly/helpful people at all. Every question asked seemed like a burden just for them to answer it. Not a course i would recommend or play again even with a GolfNow discount which we played for a great price but the course isn't worth the trouble.

I really enjoy playing this course, not overly challenging, but some course management is required. The greens and fairways were in pretty good shape although the paths and tee boxes could use a little work. Interesting layout with some water, elevation, and forced carries. The staff was friendly and they have a nice clubhouse. Course is scenic with rolling hills and surrounded by hardwood forest.

My husband and I played this course and found it very nice and well kept. It was in excellent shape. Would recommend this course.

I really don't know what to say... It is a beautiful layout in beautiful nature, just gorgeous! Amazing what work must have gone in to planning and building it. Unfortunately the grounds are not what you would consider high quality for grass to grow as it is rock hard, and, missing grass in spots. Being so hard you will get crazy bounces in all directions on the fairways and rough. Some greens held the ball, some allowed it to skip forward, HARD. There is no indication how deep the flags are on the green. The bunkers have not been raked or groomed in a long time. Cart paths are in rough shape.

BUT!!! Go play it, I would recommend it. It is again a beautiful track and it is available at a very affordable rate. It was worth the 50 minute drive to us.

Our advice.... agree before the round to roll the ball on fairways (and possibly in the rough) it is no fun to play of rock hard dirt, same with bunkers, agree to rake and place. You'll notice most holes are downhill, even the greens are flat or even slope away from you. Plan accordingly and use less club, on most holes you'll need to land the ball short on or off the green to get it to stop where you want it. Do not be scared of the 6400+ yards blue tees, the 5700 yard whites will play very short.

It was good for this time of year

This is a very nice course with the exception some of the fairways and tee boxes were a little rough. Needed too be cut. I like playing here because it's normally not that busy and can play at your pace without being on someone or someone waiting on you. Overall I would recommend this course to anyone.

Greens rolled quick and true ... rough was a bit weedy but all lies were fair ... 18 tough with water that you would have had to run up fairway to see ... staff was very friendly and helpful ... would play again

Needed a place to play the next morning and golfnow got the tee time setup for us. Brook Hill had some available tee time at the right price and we were setup for a great round of golf.
The greens were a little soft but in great condition. The tee boxes and fairways has some crabgrass growing in them.
Course tips : Buy an extra hot dog at the turn for the dog waiting on the 10th tee.

Had a great time playing Brook Hill. Greens are in excellent condition and the course is really nice. With the amount of rain the area has had this summer the rough was thick and lush, but you were able to play from it.

Definitely recommend playing this course if you have not.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Course and carts well maintained. The course lay-out is a good challenge and fun to play. Our foursome got right on and all things went smoothly from there on out. We all highly recommend playing this course, it's worth your time.

I played eighteen holes with my brother and I think the whole time we were there including the staff we saw ten people. It was very quiet could play as fast or as slow as we wanted course was in pretty good shape. Some of the bunkers were washed out and some of the fairways had some bad spots but with as much rain as we have had they have done a really good job maintaining. I'll be imaging here again soon.

The course great for as wet this spring has been. Very nice course
