Comeback course
Mid April I came in around 4 and told I could only play 9 bc of the time and still had to pay the 18.
Fairways were soft and freshly mowed, great conditions!
Greens were looking a lot better than in the past too! Rolled real well and looked like new.
Holes probably needed to be recut but other than that the course is looking so much better than years prior!
Will be coming back but for the hot deals and spending the extra money at the bar which is also a huge plus!
Gotta get some young blood in the pro shop though bc the old guys aren’t as customer friendly it seems. Can be kinda crabby/negative towards golfers aka customers.
Average course
Average parkland style course. Greens were just aerated and it was cloudy and cold so difficult to really be fair.
Good Course, Staff and Experience
The Owner Marv is a golfer and runs this course like a golfer would. He has a friendly amenable staff that works to ensure you enjoy your day. Groundskeepers have the course in phenomenal shape, leaves are cleared, greens are fast and roll true even though they have been prepared for winter. The course is laid out east-west so your play won’t be as affected as other local courses with the usual north south winds like Balmoral, Lost Marsh, Deer Creek,, or Palmira.
I paid $13... And still got riped off
Nobody was playing so it was fast. There are no map for holes and the fairway vs rough is identical, both long not taken care off grass. The lay out is hilarious, absoltly ridiculous holes!
Talked to a green keeper, very nice guy!
Greens in good shape and fast. Would play again. Good value.
Course is going downhill
This was one of my go to courses for a few reasons. The greens are large and there is just enough difficulty with traps and water to keep it challenging, but not frustrated when you leave. The course conditions have progressively gotten worse. There was a time when I first played here that the second cut was thick and plush and the traps well taken care of. The fairways for the most part green and nice. While we have not had a lot of water, the first part 5 on the back was soggy inside 100 yards. The greens and tee boxes were beat up and you cannot blame the lack of rain on that. I will play this rarely if at all going forward.
