About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Fall
Love this course but it has seen a tremendous amount of play this season. Greens show a lot of my fellow golfers need to learn proper way to repair ball marks on greens. All other course conditions are good.
Awesome views and layout
One of the best layouts I've seen. The course is well-maintained. Great risk/reward holes. Course management is a must. You will learn target golf or take a beating!

This has always been my favorite course. It is so well designed and very well maintained.
There are a couple par 4s that big hitters can reach the green, but it is very risky with green side ponds.
Overall, this course will really make you consider your shots. Target golf is definitely the key.
It has become very popular for good reason.
If you haven't played here yet, you are really missing out.
Worst organization I’ve ever seen
They ran out of carts and tee’d off an hour late lol
They made us leave after playing 9 holes…
The staff overbooked the course and made us leave halfway through our rounds. Didn’t offer money back or a rebate. This course stole time and money! Wouldn’t recommend

Great Course for Hot Dral
Challenging with lots of elevation of greens. Arrangement of tee boxes very far apart from each other.
Hilly and beautiful!
This is a very picturesque golf course with lots of elevation changes, ponds, and trees lining a lot of the fairways. We saw flocks of wild turkeys on several holes. There was dense fog when we teed off at 7:30 am and the rough was incredibly thick due to all of the rainful in the area. The course has a nice variety of uphill, downhill, right & left doglegs, and par 3's. We played from the white tees which makes the course very short, but from the longer tees it would be more of a challenge. Fairway landing areas were narrow on many holes but good tee shots are rewarded. Greens were very receptive and rolled true. THIS IS NOT A COURSE YOU CAN WALK - it winds through a housing development and there were many long cart rides between holes along with a lot of very steep elevation changes. I enjoyed the course and would definitely play it again.

Rainy day
The course, greens were in great condition. Golfers need to fix their divots. It rained most of the round but we did enjoy the course. I will play this course again. People were nice and very courteous.
Rough was too tall
We lost a lot of balls just off the fairway into the rough.

Everything great..Except
I have played many times at this course and I love it! The layout is beautiful and the greens are always in great shape. The only complaint I have is the laziness, and apologies for lack of better words, regarding the club house food situation. Every time I go, or bring friends, I end up being angry and embarrassed due to the lack of food offered. How hard is it to throw a couple of hotdogs on the rollers in the morning and just have them ready at the turn? It's a shame because everything else is wonderful at Sugar Ridge.

A Sleeper, a Must and an additional to my Favorite list!!!
Although on this particular day, pace pf play was held up, due to earlier weather, this course is a sleeper and is a great test of your game, has friendly staff, great views and provides risk/reward challenges on several holes! If you are worried about the ride, dont be, the course is well worth it. Holes 1 and 2 seem to be designed to get you started, then 4,5, 6 and 7 will challenge you and like most, 9 is a blind shot with plebty of trouble; love this course!!!

Overcrowded
I have played at this course four or five times and the course has been overbooked every time. There have regularly been 8+ carts waiting on the first tee box. I do not recommend this course unless you are willing to wait 45 minutes or more on the first tee box.
