Otter Creek Golf Course

I was a single on the course. the threesome in front of me let me play through. I didn't catch the next threesome until the 8th hole. then I waited on every shot the rest of the round. threesome, threesome, twosome, threesome and a foursome were the groups in front of me. the weather was good so it did not bother me. a great day to be on the course.

Pace of play was slow. I am not a pro by any means, but We caught a group that was playing slow. They didn't let us play through. The ranger was not out to make people accountable on the pace of play. Kinda ruined the afternoon having to wait on slow play. Wonderful course, greens were nice, rough is long.

Played here on a Friday using a 'Hot Deal' to save some money. Course was in very good shape, but pace of play was not great. A five-some ahead of us slowed play quite a bit. But this is an enjoyable course for all.

We played in under 4 hrs. and had a great time. The course was in mid summer condition, just immaculate. We hope to play it again soon

Early season so it was 90 degree and cart path only on a few holes. I was Okay with this as course was a little wet when we started. Fair amount of water holes to make it challenging. Fairways were in good shape and greens rolled perfectly.

Very nice establishment. The gentleman that checked me in was super friendly as was the staff at the restaurant. The course is really nice. Lots of water and sand and I found them both!! The only complaint I have is coming off the 14th hole we couldn’t find the 15th hole. We actually went back because we thought we skipped holes and just came off the 18th. A sign coming off the 14th pointing in the direction of the 15th would be helpful. We will definately be back

The course is in good shape and it is a fun course to play.

Really quiet in the middle of the week. I’ve played on weekends here and it is busy. Fairways are a little narrower than average, but not so bad to be entirely unforgiving to my slice. A couple unique holes so you don’t forget the course. Plenty of drinking water around unlike other nearby courses and I think the drink cart passed me four times. Just avoid the geese!

This course was very challenging, but rewarded a good shot. Each hole had it's own character.

The staff was very helpful and engaging

Course is in good condition for this time of year and especially for the cold weather we are having.

Layout is great, course is well kept, and always enjoy ourselves here. Thanks for the great round!

The golf was in excellent conditions despite early rain. Water cooler was available on the course since there was no cart person around to provide us drinks. I was happy that the course had markings to direct us to the next tee box.

Very good layout, helpful staff. We were early and let us go ahead since there was opening. Nearly private club level of experience.

Full disclosure: I am an Ankeny resident for 39 years. This course is always well maintained and the greens tend to be on the speedier side, which I personally like. There is a North and South driving range and 30 balls costs only $3. There is a practice chipping green with a large sand trap and two practice putting greens. GPS in the carts is nice. We played on a Sunday afternoon in just less than 4 hours. The course has 4 tees on each hole to accomodate golfers of various skill levels. I use the senior tees which plays to just over 6,100 yds. I really enjoy playing Otter Creek!

I really enjoyed playing here.and hope to someday play here again. My only complaint is the noise coming from the interstate.

There are always things that could be better but for the most part no complaints about this track.
