Best Condition I’ve Seen DD in…..
We had a nice round this past Saturday. Pace was good except toward the end where it stacked on the par 3 16th hole. Greens were in great condition and despite it being late-July, the course was lush. A bit pricy in my opinion but we could get a before noon time which seems impossible to get anymore at the local KC area courses.
A challenge with fun.
As usual, the course was enjoyable and consistent with previous times. The first cut was longer than sometimes and we lost balls just off the fairway. This slowed our play considerably and occasionally made shots unnecessarily penal. I hit a new ball one time teeing off the ninth hole maybe 15 feet to the right of the fairway edge and we could not find it.
We had a nice foursome with good cheer throughout.

Return To The Dreaded Dubs Dread!
Always loved playing golf at Dubs Dread! It’s been almost 6 years since I’ve played there. It did not take long to remember the articulate fairways, the deep rough, and the particular placement of flags in the most difficult locations on the green. The course showed a tad bit of heat stress, but the greens were perfect. Luckily, I didn’t have any experience in the traps, but the course was really in decent shape considering it doesn’t have an extensive sprinkler system like most others
We had the best beer cart girl I think I’ve ever had in 36 years playing golf! Conscientious, courteous, and always with a smile making sure she took care of her tipping customers. The pace of play with descent for a holiday, and the course staff is always helpful and polite. Will not take so long to come back this time.
Nothing Like Dubs
There is just something about a course designed to be this long and this tough. Never disappoints.
Great course
A bit in the tough side from higher handicappers but a lovely course, well maintained and looked after.
Challenging for the wrong reasons
Lost a total of four balls in the very tall rough that’s right off the edge of the fairway. When the cart is telling you to pick up your pace it leaves you no time to look through the tall rough so you are forced to take a penalty for shots you’d know you’d find if you had a decent amount of time. I’m overall conditions of the course were good, wouldn’t play it again though
Good course but felt pricey
I have played dubs dread before but not in the last 5 years. Course is in solid shape. Some fairways had rough spots. Overall concern is that $74 each for the round felt very pricey. GPS and Bluetooth in carts was nice, but would have traded that for Marshall’s that kept up pace of play.
Will probably not be back unless I find it on a better deal. I can play nicer courses ( Sycamore, Heritage for example) for less.
5/31 Dubs Dread
Fairways were not in great condition but the greens were. It is a very long and challenging course, will probably visit again. Good bang for your buck.
