I really enjoy this course. If you hit it straight you can score Only complaint was lack of water on course on really hot afternoon.
Good bang for your buck
We secured a hot deal for the course and played 18 holes on Memorial Day for only $14 + fees. The course was in decent shape and is very player friendly. If you can avoid tree trouble, even a mid-high handicapper can score on several holes.
Great course!
I found this course fun and challenging, I played twice as it was a day off and I really needed to get away for a while. The greens were somewhat slow, but that is to be expected this time of the year, I love the course layout and the pace was very good.
Fox Run 18 holes
Booked our round of golf on GolfNow.com and it was a breeze! My wife and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary yesterday and had a blast on the course! Weather was nice and there was only a few people out there not packed at all. Would recommend GolfNow.com and Fox Run golf course!
A nice little track
Overall solid course on a beautiful day. Pace of play was good, finished 18 in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Course was well kept with nice landscaping.
Fun to play golf course
This course was in terrific playing condition and fun to play on a perfect Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly and spoke to me by name like I'd played there a 100 times. As an everyday golfer I thoroughly enjoyed myself when I was paired up with two brothers, Irv and Gene. They play Fox Run several times a week and made me feel like I played with them on a regular basis. I was traveling so I rented clubs and it was a nice surprise when the clubs rented to me were Nike brand.
I'm confident most golfers would enjoy a day of golf at Fox Run.
Not a lot going for it.
The layout of the course is fine, but the conditions are awful. The greens were as hard as a parking lot and every ball that hit from any distance would bounce several yard past. The bunkers were like concrete mix and the fairways were sub-par. All this after quite a bit of rain the week prior. Probably better to spend the extra $15 and play somewhere nicer. But if you don't care about how the course plays, you won't be mad about spending $35 to play a round. This can only be described as a basic course.
Great bang for the buck. I have been playing this course for about 5 years and it is in the best condition I have ever seen it in. Nice course for the money for sure.
Excellent round
For mid-April the course was in fine condition, the weather cooperated and was perfect, and we got out on Easter Sunday before any crowd hit so the pace of play was great - no one to hold us up!
Not a bad course, just trees trees trees
This course isn't really all that bad. I just play a really strong fade and it doesn't play well to that. When I got there, no breakfast food and I was there at 9:45 in the morning. But I got out there and the speed of play was great and the greens were well kept.

What an amazing job the new management has done for the course! I've played this course many times in previous years and told myself I would not ever come back due to the course conditions. I have seen major improvements to the irrigation systems, greens, and bunkers this year that I have not seen in years past. I would definitely recommend this course to the newer golfers as well as the experienced. Has everything you'd need for a great golf atmosphere!
Golf in the middle of February.
Course is in great shape for the middle of February in Iowa. Course changes have been a positive and am looking forward to playing in the spring.
Big improvement in condition of course
A lot better than years past. Less weeds, more plush. Greens in good shape. Would play there more often.
Best Value
This is the second time I have played Fox Run. I booked our tee time on Golf Now app. It only cost me 18 bucks with a cart. There is no where in town you can play 18 holes with a cart for that kind of money. The course is long and very clean. Greens are very well taken car of. If II had one complaint it would be ... My cart was to slow. :(. Kind of petty! I will be back.
