Fox Run Golf Club

I played with my daughter and wife on Labor Day morning. We are all fairly speedy players, usually in the 3 1/2 hrs pr round range. There was a group directly in front of us with a guy teaching his girlfriend /wife how to play. Every shot. The Ranger came out and immediately got them moving. Saved the day for us and everybody behind us!! Thank you Ranger. The course is in good shape, fairways are a little burned up, but the greens are excellent. Be prepared to spend time looking for your ball, lots of leaves.

Was in the area from out of town, got a good rate and enjoyed the course.

It's been many years since I played Fox Run. I needed a tee time at the last minute and they had one so I took a chance. Wow, was I glad I played there again. The course was in much better shape than I remember. Sand traps raked and in good shape. Greens were a little slower than I like but they putted true.

Great experience I'll be going back.

Fox Rub is a great course. There are a lot of trees so you need to hit them relatively straight. With all the rain the rough is thick but not impossible to hit out of. The greens are in good shape and roll true. It's also walk-able for those who want more exercise. Afterwards the drinks are reasonably priced. You'll enjoy the round and talking about the putts that should have fell - we all have them : )

The greens where in outstanding condition with consistent speed. The fairways were well maintained. The rough was challenging but fair on all the holes. The staff were polite and helpful on everything. I would recommend playing here.

The course was in good shape and the greens were solid. Unfortunatley mid afternoon on they had no beer cart, while it was 90 degrees outside and very limited water on the course. Better to stay and golf in omaha in the summer.

I've played this course a handful of times over the last 3 years and it was in the best shape I've seen it in this year, and it was only February! Great staff, never had any problems in that area. But in the past the course had some issues with their greens but that wasn't the case this year. The layout is great. I mean really for the money you can't beat the layout. Never much of a problem finding balls.

This is a great place to play a cheap 18 hole round. Early in the day everything was overly soaked, making for an interesting change in green dynamics as the round progressed. Great value for the course. No real tricks or challenges. Keep it straight.

Only the second time golfing at this location, the prior was in July 2014. Then the course was going under some construction and remodeling. This year the greens were average and no patches of dead grass was anywhere in sight! Great price for the course!

Golf is a hard enough game without the distractions of lawn mowers, water sprinklers, and the staff member driving around the course turning on the water sprinklers just as you are getting ready to drive the hole.

The course was beautiful and well maintained, except for the sandtraps being filled with water. It was impossible to claim a ball if it landed in one. The person, who I have to only guess was the Ranger, was rude and mean without explaining himself. This upset me quite a bit. Prior to that encounter, my golf partner and I were having a wonderful time playing and enjoying this course. Some of the directions to holes were poorly marked leaving you guessing and wandering. But it was all good in the end. On the back nine we did get stuck behind a group of 8 that were having a great, loud, fun-filled time, but were oblivious to golf etiquette. We called the clubhouse to let them know how slow play had become, and he said he would send out the Ranger. The Ranger, however, did not show up. Not that we were in a hurry, as the scenery and experience were wonderful. But, we understand that there are times to let others play through. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would welcome the opportunity to play here again.

I love fox run. Played lots of public courses in area this summer and fox run has become our favorite. The scenery is beautiful, the course is in really good condition. Greens are somewhat slow but we always have a great time. Excellent value with golf now deals.

This course could be half way decent if they maintained it. Day I played the sand traps were mud holes, rough was 4-5 inches high and you were lucky to find your ball. Parts of fairways had no grass at all. The greens are the slowest and bumpiest in the Metro area. Too bad because the layout isn't all that bad. I will not be coming back to play this course if they paid me.

A nice course that is maturing.
Tree lined fairways (mostly on back nine) require more accurate tee shots.
I have always liked the course but hadn't played it for awhile. Chose it on a recommendation from a friend.

They had recently (within a week) aerated/sanded the greens which made putting an adventure.
Also, pace was brutal...over 4 1/2 hours and we barely had enough daylight to finish.

This is a good course for the money. The pace of play is really slow. If you catch a group of members don't expect to play thru. Overall this is a good course in the Omaha area.

The course was in fair condition. Rough was long and the greens were very slow. This is a great place for beginning golfers. However, the pace of play was over 5 hours for 18 holes.

Drainage issues, thin fairway grasses create challenges to hit shots. Long roughs could be trimmed more often.

Before we went and played this course, I couldn't believe how cheap it was, but now I know why. It rained the night before we went, and this course is so poorly designed that the water has no where to go. Sand traps became ponds, fairways and roughs have 2 to 3 inches of standing water covering 10-15% of them. On top of the drainage issues, the overall course layout is terrible, with the front 9 wrapping around the outside of the back 9, you have several very long holes on the front, but no par 5 holes on the back, and several very short par 3 holes. I will not be spending any more money at this course, and will definitely not recommend it to anyone I know.
