Bunkers need help
I haven't played Willow since last summer. Overall I was happy with the conditions except for 1 thing. The bunkers that I played out of looked good, but were mostly hard-pan. They are desperately in need of some fresh sand. Im guessing it was a 75 -25% dirt to sand ratio. Almost not playable. It also looked like some of the drains need unclogging. A few bunkers had standing water in them. Also, a little ticky tack, but grass around the bunkers a little weedy and shaggy. Everything else, fairways, tees, greens & rough, all in great shape. Greens rolled real good. Smooth & quick (not fast). caught a good hot-deal ($29). As a vet with a VA Healthyvet ID. I usually get a $43 rate (with cart). That's very reasonable for this course. Their normal $50 something per player seems to be a bit high, but seems to be the going rate in Omaha area. I'LL BE BACK.
Complete joke
Trash everywhere, I hate to say this but really no way to put it nicely... some of the dumbest employees of a golf course you could imagine... like booking a group and the multiple single players within 2 min of eachothers tee times. Then having no clue how to deal with it
GREATEST VALUE IN GOLF
Have played willow 100's of times and it is always great. Robert Trent Jones Design so you know it is challenging. The Greens are great. Some of the fairways take on a lot of water so grass has a hard time growing in spots. Public is welcome here even though it is a airforce base course. Prices are $20-$30 so it is a great value.. Not a country club so don't expect the fancy amenities. Just good golf at a good value..
