Early season conditions
I have played this course several times. It is early to truly evaluate the course conditions. The front 9 which they redid in 2019 was not open so played the back 9 twice. It is a nice challenging layout. The front 9 with the changes made in 2019 is much easier with several short straight holes
We''ll be back
This was the 2nd time my wife & I golfed at this course and enjoyed it both times. We will definitely be back!
Great course
I like the new layout of the front nine, challenging but not to hard.
Needs attention
Was really surprised to see the lack of mowing and the conditions of the rough. Younger players learning the game made what should have been a 90 first 1/2, two and a half hours. Exec course had 2 groups on each hole. Hope opening the Front nine up will bring some needed attention.
Nice Place
It is a fun course. Rough areas were really tough with higher than normal grass. You need to run balls to the greens. Very difficult to stop balls on the fly to the greens. It was a fun outing and worthy of giving this course a try!
Bummer
Didn’t make tee time, was in a car accident. It was a hot deal so I couldn’t cancel
The course is kept in better shape than it was 15 years ago and we had a good time playing it.
Very Unfriendly
First the guy working the course is very unfriendly. My wife just asked if we were paired up with a couple that is good at golf because we were playing later in the day because of our pace of play. He said it doesn't matter, when you sign up theough golf now you normally don't get the best of the best and take what you can get. So there's that.
Second the course conditions were subpar at best. I guess I have higher expectations in a golf course than I do my own yard that I don't water. This course is in horrible shape. I'd be embarrassed to pay more than about $15 to play this course. Now I have played this course for years. There have been times that I have paid $41 and it was worth it. Not now. I don't know if I will go back even if golf is $10. I'd rather pay more to play a better course.
Watch your top knot
Has a country, small town course feel. On a few holes the fair ways come close to the on coming tee boxses. An errant tee shot could wound someone. Challenging small greens.
Good course. But the staff could care less about pace of play. The "marshal" was a 15 year boy. No one is going to listen to a kid tell them they're playing 45 min behind pace.
