Greens are like a mine field of uneven grass. Otherwise pretty good. I know the management has recently changed so hopefully the spring will get this place into pristine condition.
Slowly improving
This little course is a great value. They're slowly improving after years of poor ownership. The greens were pretty slow, but it's the off-season and I couldn't be happier to be able to pay golf in December. Looking forward to seeing now improvements as the greens are revived and the course is repaired.
Solid course, needs some TLC
The course is laid out nicely and in mostly good shape
Fairways are a little crispy, but we're in the middle of a drought (5" behind on precipitation currently).
What's odd, is that the fringe and areas surrounding the greens were soaked. I had a couple balls get stuck in the ground (mud) upon impact and could hear/feel the ground squishing under my feet.
Greens were OK, but any that were partly shaded had signs of leaf spot or something (dead patches) which made any type of read worthless.
Weeeeeeds
Hadn’t been mowed in a week the greens had more weeds than actual grass the carts were garbage paid $30 for the worst 9 holes I’ve ever played
Orchards Executive Course
The course maintenance is absolutely terrible . The tee boxes are in poor condition , the fairways are ok , the rough should be cut shorter because of the skill caliber of the players that play this course , the grass on the greens is horrible and in spots non-existing . The paths , whether dirt or paved are also in terrible condition , and the wooden bridges to cross ditches or gullies are in bad condition and are dangerous . On one hole there was a 15 ft long tree limb was out in the fairway , the course staff took the time to put 4 red stakes in the ground in front of the limb , I guess to warn golfers , I simply and easily removed the limb from the fairway and placed it off to the side by some other shrubbery . The limb was long and had several branches but , it was not heavy at all . At one time this course was a pretty and well maintained course . Not anymore . The present owners should be embarrassed and ashamed .
Great fun for great value
We booked online and played 18 holes for the 9 hole (with cart) price. We are not good golfers and this course is perfect for my kids (16 & 12) to play. We lose balls, we find balls and we we make a few good shots and bad ones. It’s not Pebble Beach. But it’s also not stuffy and arrogant like most courses make bad golfers feel.
Don’t waste you’re time or money here
I payed for a round of 9 holes and a cart to play on Sunday. Arrived and waited for golf manager at the clubhouse for 30 minutes he never showed up. THERE WERE NOT any golf carts to ride or play. My wife just recently having surgery could not walk the whole course so we needed the cart. We waited for over a full our and the clubhouse manager never showed up. So we ended up leaving. Didn’t play. Glancing at the course the greens were half dead and nothing but sand. I would recommend to anyone to NEVER PLAY HERE.
