It's a mess
Looks like they're doing some work to this course. However, it was in pretty poor shape. Temp tee boxes, tilled fairways and uncut greens.
As it's a lower end course there are a number of people that don't understand Golf etiquette. Probably won't be back for quite some time

Tee boxes destroyed. Fairways destroyed. Cart path destroyed. Range destroyed. Range balls all over the course. Dirty gas carts. Dirty gravel parking lot. Only 9 holes. Must play twice so pace of play is bad. Zero dress code or rules enforcement. You could probably ride horseback on this course and they wouldn't mind. That said, nice people and casual environment. Great for fishing and hunting, but not good for golf.
Played the Gardner Golf Course today and really enjoyed the course layout and the staff was super friendly. For the money one of the better courses in JoCo.
Course looks great. Need to get back to 18 holes. 9 hole too crowded. Two groups waiting to tee off after the turn, that we had to wait until both teed off before starting hole #10/1
And then was like that until hole 5 where we said forget it and jumped to 9 and called it a day.
Wide open, well maintained great visibility
Gardner golf course is very well maintained, easy to spot your ball. Wide open fairways and greens are in great shape. Moderate challenging obstacles such as sand traps and water crevices, but nothing overbearing.
