Great layout poor conditions
I get that it was the beginning of April and the Bermuda has not come in yet but there was zero grass in the fairways and the greens are in horrible shape. Love the layout, will have to come back in a couple of months and see if it is in better shape
Chunky rough....4inches deep....
Very playable....greens are ok....fairways are good....deep rough only way to find it is to step on it...nothing fancy just basic golf....
Not in good shape
Tough way too thick. You can lose balls just off the fairway. You almost have to step on them to find them.. greens not in good shape, back nine greens recently airated.

There is a price to pay if you do not have your golf ball in the fairway. The golf ball will disappear in the Bermuda Rough Grass near the fairway or over to the paved cart path. There were posts from September 2018 detailing the same subject. Other than that a nice golf course that is in need of new sand bunkers. I would play again in 2019. Mjbeard from Clarksville, TN
Met two great guys today play with. Some grass a little high, but it’s been wet. Not bad at all.
US OPEN ROUGH
Hit a ball off the tee 2 or 3 yards from the fairway and cant find your ball because they haven't mowed the rough. It was ridiculous. Above ankle high rough is out of control. We were told to be on time cause there was a high school match going out after us. It ended up they went out ahead of us anyways and we had to wait on every hole and they didnt let us play through. If I knew the front 9 was closed we wouldve went somewhere else.
great course
a great course was mowed good was mowing day I played the greens are in pretty good shape some better than the others only problems with greens a couple had a few bad spots but several was getting crab grass around the edges only problem was no.2 green they put the flag in a bad spot on the green should had been moved beside that was a great day
Disappointing Round
From looking at the course from the street, and from the Golf Advisor Rating of 4.3, I was expecting to have a great round of golf. I had noticed the comments about the deep rough, but didn't realize just what an impact it would have on my game. I wasn't expecting to have to look for our balls when we were near the greens. In many cases I would have expected my ball to have rolled on to the green, but it was hiding in the tall grass near the green where it was stopped by the tall grass. Greens weren't in great shape either. Pace of play was slow and nobody was monitoring it. The only perfect thing was the weather.
great course
the greens was in good shape a couple had a few burned spots on them the fairway was mowed good the rough was too high needed mowing pace of play was good on front nine but got backed up on back nine but still had fun plus they got new golf carts
Great course!
The course is beautiful, scenic and very well maintained. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Really an enjoyable golfing experience for all levels of play.
Friday
Course in fair shape greens going downhill fast though
Excellent!
Recommended to me by young lady who fitted me for a new set of Callaway irons in April & was not disappointed!!! The rough, while plush, is a bit long and you'll lose a ball or two. But a great course, especially the back nine. Greens consistent, fairways allow for good roll. Save time for a post round meal at Mammy's in town.
A fun round of golf.
The staff was friendly and welcoming and the course was in great condition and fun to play. There were a couple of greens that had issues but it wasn't a big negative to my overall impression.
Warning: Keep your ball in the fairways. The rough, although nicely cut and visually attractive, is thick and plenty deep to swallow your ball and keep it from ever being found. If dumb luck is on your side and you do find your ball, good luck at getting it out of this gnarly Purgatory.
Go play My Old Kentucky Home and have fun.
Needs some attention
Love this course. Great layout in a very picturesque setting. Plenty of tree lined holes, challenging locations and abundant wildlife. In shape, it is one of the best anywhere. However, due to overplay, weather and lack of maintenance, it isn’t as nice right now. The greens are beat up pretty bad and many have “hot spots” that are dying and patchy. The fairways are nice but the roughs are cut too long and slow play significantly. The rough has been cut in some places leaving “clumps” of grass and mown hay look. The tee boxes are eat up really bad from poor rotation and some greens have gotten crabgrass in them and needed to have been sprayed this year. Again, love this course but it is in need of some attention before they loose the greens. J
