Good layout. Love back nine
Course in good shape. Good practice area. Two quirky holes but good layout.
Very good fairways and greens
The Bermuda fairways are in great shape and the greens were smooth and rolled nice. Bunkers need some work but everything else was very nice! Great, fun layout!
Not long, but definately a challenge for the average to good golfer. Lots of water and woods to keep the long hitters wish they were straighter.
A well maintained country club that is looking for more members. This was an "introductory" offer. The staff was friendly but after you left the pro shop you were on your own and finding your way around was somewhat of a challenge. Definitely not a walkers course. Lots of hills and uneven lies. Greens were well maintained and fast!
Great course and even better price. A must play!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. It was very challenging but in great shape and quite unique. You get a little bit of everything in one round. Will certainly play again.
It was a rainy day
It was a very wet day. I have played here before, and it is a nice course on a good day.
In great shape, played on a rainy day.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape, even though we played on a very rainy day we still enjoyed a course in excellent playing condition.
Great Course at LOW PRICE
I have lived near this course since its opening and was not aware that I could get on without a membership. Saw it on GolfNow and booked it and was GLAD I did. The course was great and the layout was outstanding. It is a little tight but not overbearing and allows you to hit driver A LOT.
Loved this course. I WILL book this course on GolfNow for $25 at 2 pm again very soon.
Great course
Great course just make sure you are hitting it straight . Also you may not need your driver as much as you think
Overrated
Average course, really paying for the fact that its "private" The fairways are horrid, some combination of bermuda and patchy rough grass. Greens could use some work. Short course made challenging by the doglegs and small/sloped greens. Not many straight putts here. The heather is the thickest i've seen and the intermediate rough is basically long grass that doesnt get mowed, potential to lose a ton of balls if you dont pay attention to where it went. Would play here again but think the price is steep. Would rather play Heritage Hill or Nevelmeade instead for the same price.
Not a good value
For a private club this course was maintained very poorly. I would expect this at a course that wasn't busy and in this area of town. The fairways resembled that they had been sprayed with hydro-seed and literally your ball sat down in the grass in it. Greens were a mixture of grasses and speed changed at least two to three on the stint meter depending on the grass you putted through.
The rough was just that rough. Knee to waist high over most of the course. The intermediate rough is the telling point of the course as a whole, at this time in the spring the rough should be lush and thick like your yard, this rough was already thin as if it were mid July.
This course has so much potential so many scenic holes and the homes don't come in to play, meaning you aren't teeing off staring in someones back yard or a house 10 feet off the fairway. I will play here again but it will be a while, just hoping that they improve it.
Very friendly staff, beautiful course
My experience at GlenOaks could not have been any better, and I look forward to making it back for my next 18.
Play your shots
The course was in very god shape. The card in golf logix was not right so my overall score was right, but the holes were off. The course played at a great pace on the front (under 2hrs), but the back was very slow (2 hrs 40 min). I would definitely play this course again!
very friiendly; great condition;
very friendly staff; course in excellent condition; challenging but not overly difficult; highly recommend
Play Defense
Greens in great, fast shape. Have to be defensive in putting due to slope of greens. Fairways in great shape as they over-seeded the bermuda with rye.
Nice Layout, Beaten Up by Summer Temperatures
Nice neighborhood layout that demands all 14 clubs be put in play. Greens and tees were in good shape, fairways and rough were terrible - spotty, bare patches and evident disease. Other local courses at lower rates are in much better shape!
Fun, but tricky course
Had a great time recently at Glen Oaks. Got on for around $30 and conditions were very good. Bermuda is going dormant but they overseeded fairways with rye. Course is pretty short but you have to hit the ball straight or there are many holes that will punish you. It is a neighborhood course but houses don't really come into play. Much. Greens have lots of undulation and roll very nice.
