Good Value
This is a private course that sometimes allows non-members to play, but only through GolfNow or special advertisements. I am not a member, so it was a treat to play at a reduced rate. The course is longish for the high handicap golfer, but it is rather open - it is not target golf. Several of the par 3s were very long - 211 and 190 yds. It was surprising to me that there were many thin spots in the fairway and that the sand in the bunkers was not deep. The layout was a challenge with many hills and doglegs. But, as always, good friends and a good day make for good golf.
Staff Need Customer Service Training- especially Richard!
Our twosome was bumped to allow three foursomes of "members" to proceed... When I inquired I was told that memebers will always take priority over golfnow players and that my reservations clearly state I could be bumped. Richard who worked there then came out near the tee box and was blatantly rude to us, in front of the other three foursomes.
The worse part is that our twosome consisted of two 35 year olds avg. handicap 15 and the foursomes in front of us were all active older adults. The players acutally said we should proceed in front of them, as the course was wide open. Richard refused to allow us to go and instead launched us off the back nine after making a spectacle in front of the other players... Never again will I visit and I urge anyone who values service to stay away- unless of course you're willing to pay for a membership at an average public/ private course.
Good layout, generous fairways, greens need a little work
The degree of difficulty is fair, course layout is condusive to scoring. The slope and challenges are fair. The greens need work as slightly bumpy and a little slow.
Glad I am not a member
I have been playing at least once per week for the last three seasons and this was by far the worst course I have ever played. I believe this is a semi private course, and if I were a member, I'd be embarrased to invite a friend to play here. The golf now deal was cheap, but honestly, I would never play this course again for any price. The fairways are burnt out and hard as rock, and the greens are all pock marked and thin. Even the range balls are bad.
Better in the spring, pretty bad in late summer
The greens were more consistent in the spring. August was a different story. Very poorly maintained on a lot of holes.
