Beautiful Day
For $25 with cart, very inexpensive golf. Friendly pro shop, friendly starter. Fairways pretty bad shape, as were most of the tee boxes. Greens were so-so. Pace of play was good, but the carts are really dirty (cigarette butts), and seats have blown out upholstery. Maple Run could be a lot better; needs some money re-invested.

Fun course
I enjoyed the round. Weather was perfect, pace of play was good, value for the round was exceptional. Thumbs up.

Interesting layout with absolutely gorgeous scenery. With a few wide-open "grip it and rip it" holes, some tight tree-lined fairways, a couple of forced carries, and even some inconveniently-placed power lines, this is a fun course that requires every club in the bag.
There were definitely a few rough patches and areas that needed repair (especially the tee boxes) but I'm not especially picky and that doesn't bother me. On top of that, it's $18 to walk, so no one has the right to complain. Compared to other courses in the area at the same price point, this place is miles better. If you're the kind of golfer who gets mad about dirt in the tee box, you're better off paying more to play elsewhere. If you're like me and don't mind a few patches here and there, this course is great.
I was the first one out so I can't comment on pace of play. Things seemed to be moving quickly enough from what I could see on holes parallel to mine.
In all, conditions could be slightly better, but the scenery more than makes up for it. Highly recommend

Cheap
Pace of play is awful! The course conditions has taken a major drop off from conditions from past years. This was a great place to play years ago. They need to put the money back into the golf course. Very sad one of the staple tracks in the northern part of Maryland has taken a major drop off. Great views!

Bad course
Tee boxes very poor shape dirt greens and fairways bare and dry

Good Value
This was my first time at this course. Definitely a good deal. Course was in decent shape. The only complaint was that the hole number markers were either not there or covered by shrubbery.

Decent
Half the tee boxes are very unkept and dirt. Fairways were decent, greens were ok and it wasn't as soggy as before. Just fix the tee boxes and pave the back nine and it'd be a pretty good value.

The staff was great . The cart path on the back 4 holes of the back nine was terrible. Loved playing best score ever.
Cheap
The course is very inexpensive to play and it shows based on the conditions of the course. It could be an excellent course however there are a lot of sparse areas, pure Dirt tea boxes and some greens with quite a bit of dead grass. Greens are not very good either. It is however only $30 to play. Good course for beginners. Carts are in horrible shape

Aberage
Good for the money. No one kept pace going. Slow group a head hit two balls each. Firestone.
Eh! Just okay value for your money.
Front nine plays nice and level of course maintenance is what I expected for the price.
Back nine has a couple funky holes and there are some course maintenance (mostly cart path) issues going through the wooded area.

Falling Apart
The course is in bad shape all around. Some of the greens have ant hills, the fairways are mainly weeds, it is hard to find grass on many of the tee boxes. The cart paths are almost non-existent on much of the back 9. The clubhouse is in no better shape. I am glad that it is only $30 but even that is to high for the condition. The young man basically running everything was nice but it seems that there is no one actually caring for the golf course. It looks like a course that is on its way out.
