Great Sunday Game of Golf
Played today with my father who usually plays golds and we were surprised out of hole 1 that the different colored tees weren’t even set up. We had to guess where golds and whites may be played from which was ok. The overall course layout is great. I love the low to high elevation shots throughout the course with occasional water hazards. However all of the greens have been poorly developed and look more like pitching mounds in baseball than they do of putting greens. This course’s greens do not play like any other golf green and unfortunately it’s in a bad way. Some of the greens have a cone or pyramid shape. I have been to Westminster National for the past 4 years and this is a typical occasion. We had a great time but they need to redo their greens to make them look like the game of golf, not baseball.
Worth It
Found a 715am tee time. Drove over an hour to finally play this course. Was well worth the money. Don't play it in the rain, the course has a lot of hills and you tend to slip and slide all over the place
A bit pricey for the conditions.
Nice layout, though the elevation changes can lead to odd off balance swings. The tee boxes are among the worst I've ever seen. Totally chewed up and don't seem to be tended to, repaired or moved much. Greens needed to be rolled and cut and were very uneven from hole to hole. The people were outstanding but for the price, I did not fee it was a good value and wish they could spend some time or money making it better, LOTS of potential.

Hot summer day, but staff was great and pace of play and condition of course were fine.
