good conditions for beginning of the season
other than the frost delay, conditions were great to play for the beginning of the season
Best Municipal Course in the Greater Boston Region
Even with a 1hr frost delay, the staff got everybody out with no issues. Course is in prime condition already and it's only March. Challenging course but not too difficult for beginners.
Can't wait to play there again!
Braintree Municipal Golf Course
With the exception of the first hole and the par three's, water hazards are in play on both sides of the fairways. There are tee boxes for all levels to play. The greens were in excellent shape for March and the course was a walkable track. Proper bunkering kept your attention throughout the round not just around the greens, but with the fairway bunkers. A laser gun or GPS system will be an advantage for you during play. The driving range was not open, but the putting / chipping green was available. The starter kept the players in check to make sure the groups stayed on point with their starting times. You'll enjoy playing and walking the course.
Great course. Easy walking course
Played 9. Good course and easy to walk. Lots of water, great for the price also.
Was just happy to get out and play after a long winter layoff. There was a frost delay but the starter was excellent in getting all the groups out quickly. Course is in nice shape for early spring. Grounds crew has done a great job in keeping up with clearing winter debris off the fairways and greens. Can’t wait to play again when the summer kicks in.
Read reviews of a 5 hr round so walked up assuming the worst.
They did a shotgun start at 10am. 30 min after my scheduled tee time. Off the course in 4 hours.
They plugged the greens earlier this month but they are coming back.
Best Municipal Course in Mass
On the advise of a friend recently played this course. I quickly saw why this course is a preferred play by experience golfers. Course was not intimidating for a new golfer. A true hidden gem, will be back to play as often as possible.
Death march
So incredibly slow. We played a Tuesday, 11am tee time, they put us out early since another group was missing a player... the round took 5+ hours, waiting on every tee box with another group, waiting every shot. The course was in pretty good shape. Some challenging holes and greens were slow but true. Overall its a solid place to play, but the length of the round on a Tuesday mid day in October was bananas. Summer weekend to be expected I guess, but get someone out there speeding up guys taking 13 shots on holes.

Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Golfed Saturday...it was a disaster..they had to many golfers ..ranger was useless...at the 3rd hole there were 4 foursomes waiting..5 hours for 15 holes..had to walk off ..never going there..
