First time playing wow
the Tuesday traveling Worcester golfers traveled to Crystal Lakes for the first time. 20 golfers and everyone enjoyed their day. the staff made everything goes smoothly and I would highly recommend this golf course. great conditions lot of people working on the cours.e. houses on the 8th hole a little too close but the course was there before the houses were built. moral of the story don't buy a house on a golf course but if you play Crystal Lake you'll enjoy it.
Awesome course for great value
The course was in perfect conditions! First time playing and I will definitely be back. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come play the course again!
Old guys walking
I am 67 and my brother is 62. We walked the course in well under 4 hours. The Golf Now booking said walking so we brought the push pull carts. The great guy in the clubhouse said we could have a cart but we were already loaded. Perfect weather, great greens as usual. Very convenient and enjoyable place for me to play. The housing around the course has started up again so the ninth hole is reduced to a shirt par three. I play here quite often and recommend it to anyone. The course doesn't beat you up which makes for a great round.
Corona golf
During this pandemic the social aspect of golfing has been removed. The sport is still there but the social component is just as important to most of us.
Solid course
Course was in good condition. As long as you keep your ball in the fairway it is really nice. Anything off the fairway even if by just a little bit and you have less than a 50% chance of finding your ball, which is very frustrating.
Fun and challenging course
Challenging course, not the easiest 18 holes to walk as it has some hills. Also sucks that they decided to cram in houses all around the course and holes. Would play again with a cart.
Beautiful Day
Played 9 holes with 3 guys on the front and flew around the back. Course is in good shape and fun as always. #9 was a surprise 3 but I hope that is temporary. I’ll be back
Greens are fast and tricky. They were in great shape. Front nine is tight. Back nine let's you use your driver more. With some blind tee shots,I would recommend playing it a couple of times to know how to score better. Great value for $30 on golf now.
It Didn't Rain On Wednesday
Wednesday is my day to play and it always rains on Wednesday, except today !!!! Bright sunshine with a dry course !!! I don't play very well anymore, but I still enjoy a nice round of golf. Crystal Lake is a nice round of golf. Very friendly clubhouse man, nice playable course with really nice greens, a great place to play. Plenty of course from any of the four sets of tees that makes it a fun place to play. You will come back and play it again. Don't go long over the greens and stay below the hole on most of the holes, especially 13,16 and 17.
Nobody in Front
Early morning tee time in misty wet conditions. Overnight rain made the course very wet. No roll today !!! I have played here many times over the last two years and find it to be a great place to play. Not overly difficult, so it"s an enjoyable round. No fun if the course beats you up. Anytime you are looking for a good place to play, I recommend Crystal Lake in Haverhill.
Dissapointing
I had never played this course before. I have my usual courses but decided to try something different. The ratings were decent and they charge $60 so I assumed the golf experience would be good. Nope! I’ll start at the beginning. The parking area is very small and unpacked. The clubhouseisa trailer. There is no practice area that I saw. I had booked as a single online and assumed, for a noon tee time on a Sunday, I would be joining a threesome. The starter said no, I would be going out as a single., onto a crowded course. Not good. After two holes and 40 minutes, I decided I had better things to do with the next six hours. I headed back to my car and left. The course itself appeared to be in mediocre condition and the greens were like putting on a shag carpet. The cart paths were gravel and the tee boxes were small and hacked up. The one positive is the people were friendly. But you’ve got to do more than collect money nand point to the first tee. This place should not charge a penny more than $25.
Hidden Gem
Love the course love the people . They are working so hard to bring the course back . This year is the best the course has looked in years and congratulation to the owners and staff . Keep up the good work
