only course i have played that doesn"t have fresh water available on course. There are vending machines for water to buy. course fee is enough they need to provide water
Great green
Greens condition are excellent
Great course
Great course, glad we decided to try it. A long drive for us but we will definitely be back. Loved everything about the course. Very scenic, a lot of blind tee shots, which is never good on your first time playing a course, but overal great round and course.
Open course
Loved the generous fairways and the greens are well cared for. The pro was very friendly as were the 3 employees we came in contact with. Only 1 men's and ladies bathroom. There was a snack bar and Phil was very friendly and helpful. There also was a food cart on the course.
Very good course for the price
The course was great pace was a little slow but I blame that on the foresome in front of us not on the course. Rangers rode by several times but did not ask them to pick up the pace of play.....there were 4 holes open in front of them....courtesy for fellow golfers goes a long way. Still a great time.
Nice course
I've played here a lot of times over the years and have seen a lot of changes..At this time, the course is just ok, average..I wouldn't play it if I had to pay full price. Golfnow makes it affordable.
Needs work
This course needs maintenance work. The layout is decent and it could be nice, but due to the poor conditions it was not good.
Fun Track - Partially Underconstruction
The Head Professionn is friendly and inviting. Most of the operations have been shut down for the season. The course is in decent shape. The greens were nice and rolled well. Most fairways are okay. The front 9 was the better nine with much undulation and elevation change. The back 9 was standard and straight forward. The course winds through a development of homes and some construction of which I am not a fan. I imagine it would be much nicer once they complete all the capital course improvements and home construction. Good place to have fun and just hit the ball then go fetch!
Crystal Lake
Joined three players had fun. Course was in fair shape. Greens were fast and undulating. Rough had a lot of bare areas and unkept. Tees were ok. Greens were in good shape. Pace was fine on the first nine 2 hrs. Back nine was ridiculous group in front of us had people quitting in front and back of us they didn't have a clue how to play. 3 hrs to play second nine.
Long time favorite
I agree with the review posted above (below?). I have played this course many times over the years, it's rarely crowded and the maintenance staff is terrific as the course is in great shape. If I still lived here I would play it weekly but I do manage to get here on every trip back. I am hoping it shows up on GolfNow regularly.
There several notable holes like 4, 5, 7 and 9 on the front and 15 on the back. I didn't include 14 b/c it isn't "pretty" but I find it to be one of the most difficult holes I play routinely.
Also, make a point to hang with the guy in the food area (I think it's Phil, not sure). He's a character.
