Nice course
The back 9 holes are a nice easy walk. This is my go to course, close to where I live and the people are nice. Pretty course as well.
Great first round
Yesterday was a beautiful November day, mid-50’s to start climbing to low 60’s, with light wind. Course was in great shape. Pace was just over 4 hours so very reasonable for a public course. No water or swampy/tall reeds to carry and fairways are plenty wide. Greens varied from medium to fast, and both the fairways and greens can have significant slopes so accuracy is important. I will return!
Crystal Lake
For a fall round the course was well maintained. Greens were rolling fast, layout was challenging on some holes. Overall a solid option if in the Haverhill, MA area.
Greens
The coarse conditions are greatly improved over a few years ago. The greens were recently airated and were bumpy. The staff is great on the course and in the clubhouse.
Fun and challenging
Course is in good condition, lots of challenge and doglegs. Only real issue is non golf related, club house is a dbl wide trailer and old at that, and parking is VERY tight. Friendly starter.

Hidden gem
Great course for the price. Played 3-some great pace no one ahead or behind. I’d definitely come back

Prices make no sense
Their pricing system is screwed. Paid $37 to walk 9 holes at 5:10 on a Friday, that’s a typical rate for 9 with a cart - not walking. They have a twilight rate on the site, but apparently “don’t offer that anymore”, and it’s somehow cheaper to walk 9 on a weekend afternoon than it is after 5pm on a Friday? Makes no sense to me as far as value goes. Find somewhere else if you’re looking to play a casual 9 after work.
