Awesome
Have golfed here a number of times. Great track and challenging. Lots of character. Use most clubs in my bag. Have never been disappointed. Play moves quickly.
Decent course
Course layout is excellent and so were the greens. Very fast and true. Tee boxes were horrible. Many burned spots.

What Happened?
NECC was a regular stop on my rotation of quality courses, until this season. The course was in very poor shape, greens were unusually slow, lots of burnout, tee boxes destroyed, it’s almost like they gave up. Rumors of condos going in May have something to do with this, as it appears the writing is on the wall. Wear a helmet, as the neglected cart paths have only gotten worse. It’s depressing to see a once fine golf course go down the toilet

Enjoyed our day
The course is in good shape. The fairways are nice The greens are really fast. This is a challenging course. I don't know if there's a flat lie. Lots of hills and valleys. The staff was very friendly. We very much enjoyed the day and will play it again.

Overpriced
Overpriced even with the GolfNow discount ($12 discount). I would have asked for some sort of refund if I paid the full price of $89. Course conditions were poor regardless of price and exceptionally poor for $89.

AWFUL experience playing New England CC on 8/16/2020..
Worst playing conditions we’ve seen in years. Dirt instead of grass on ALL tee boxes.
$ 89.00 fee was an absolute rip off.
Rain was forecasted and greeted with a sign sternly stating “Absolutely no rain checks... bring an umbrella.”
Carts and cart paths were subpar... just nothing good to say about a facility we have enjoyed in past years.
Seems like management is taking in every cent they can without putting anything back into the place.
Extremely disappointing and won’t consider going back unless things change.
Too many other area choices with better conditions and attitude.
Won’t be surprised to see the golf course disappear in favor of house lots with what we witnessed yesterday.

Nice course above my ability
Our group loved the course, even though it was more difficult than people at our skill level should play. The holes were challenging and interesting, and the views were in general quite nice.
The fairway was fairly burnt out, but so far as I can tell, so is every other fairway in Massachusetts right now.
Bottom line is that even though we played through a constant drizzle, we plan on going back, hopefully to nicer weather.

Nice track. Terrible pace
5 hour round Sunday morning. No ranger pushing slow groups along.

Challenging Hale Irwin Course
I enjoyed playing this course, especially the back nine. Some very challenging and pretty holes. Drawbacks are the location of the first hole, which is very odd, until you learn the back story, the distance between a few of the holes, and the poorly-maintained tee boxes. Not an ideal place for us walkers. Nor beginners or high handicap players. Played the back nine with Chris who works there. Great guy and great company.

Dissatisfied
This course was absolutely terrible, based on the pictures online the course looked beautiful. When arriving in person i was instantly displeased, the course condition was disgusting to say the least and i considered not even completing the 18 holes i paid far too much to play. I will never return to this course.

Good course glad to play again
It was a little confusing finding a few of the holes and tee boxes. The course was nice and hard but beautiful. We had fun and everyone was really nice! Didn’t try the restaurant but everything else was good. Definitely want to go again.

Great Layout, Amazing Greens
first time back here in 10 or so years, The Greens are absolutely beautiful, great speed & great condition, the layout is very nice also & pace of play was, what I would expect on an early Sunday morning. My only negative, The Tee Boxes could use some TLC (but really I'm just being picky here, because everything else is so nice.
I will definitely be back soon & would highly recommend

Some holes are very challenging especially with pin placements. Greens are very fast and difficult with the speed and undulations..For first time players some holes are deceiving and layout is unknown.Without knowing the course some holes will surprise you with brooks and environmental difficulties.

Excellent layout for all levels in great condition
