Merrimack Valley Golf Club

With five Par 5's and 7 Par 3's it's a quirky course with much of the front nine being target golf. It's a short track but can be challenging if you miss your target at times. If you are using a HOT DEAL be sure not to pay when you get to the pro shop as they tried to charge me and I had to show receipt of payment already. It's a friendly staff but they put out a scramble when we played and we waited two groups back at the turn before it picked up again a few holes in. We also had to tee off 15 minutes early because the group in front of us no-showed so a bit rushed at the first tee. Course can dry out fast.

Few rough spots on fairway and tee boxes. Overall a fun day. Staff is super accommodating

First time playing Merrimack Valley, and it did not disappoint at all, the course was clean, well kept, pace of play was perfect, the staff was extremely friendly and approachable, will certainly be back!

I played 18 holes here and had a great round, starting with the staff friendliness, the guys I was paired up with to play, and the overall beauty and challenge of the course. I will most definitely be back!!!

This is a short course at a par 70. Has more par 3’s than normal but it’s a great course nonetheless. It is always a great course when it’s dry conditions. I recommend it for all beginners.

For an 830 tee time and be done 4h30m later a lot faster then what I was expecting course looked great just need some work on some fairways and couple of greens I really very pleased and I will definitely comeback

The pace of play and layout was perfect. Worth the money.

Management seems committed to packing as many golfers onto the course as possible. Because of groups going off as soon as the previous one was out of range, it was a 5 1/2 hour round on what is not a long golf course.

Everyone in the clubhouse is nice, but that did little to undo the underlying economics of the place and it prioritizing profits over the customer experience. Not sure if we will come back.

All that being said, the employees are all nice and helpful and the course is well laid out and in good shape.

However I can't recommend until the course backup problem is handled properly.

Honestly I had a great 1st round of the year here . unfortunately most if not all of the tee boxes weren’t being used and they just had a tiny area off to the Side were the tees had no grass. Other then that I had a great experience the house staff and the marshals were great they made sure I had a good time.

Front 9 was a little wet. Overall, the course was in great shape. Very happy I took the ride up from Boston. Will definitely be coming back.

First time here. I was surprised by the amount of wetlands, with the great water views, for Methuen (although I do prefer a bit less development right to the edge of many of the fairways). Everyone (staff and players) was extremely friendly, and welcomed us to the club. We will return, as the season progresses, to see the course conditions improve with the New England weather (little tough sticking to the cart path all the time - given my playing abilty).

The course did not know i had booked it with Golf Now. We had to call GN to confirm the booking. This had happened before there. Merrimack Valley CC said they are going to sever ties with Golf Now. This is the 2nd time I had arrieved at a course and gone thru this.
