Course needs a lot of attention
This was a nice looking course but needs a ton of attention. The fairways were really hard! Needing lots of rain. You could actually hear your ball hit the fairway from 250 yards away. It would hit then take these crazy bounces do to the fact the grounds were so hard.
The hazards with tall grass looked like wheat. They were so dry!
The women's tee boxes you could barely stick your tee into as well. My wife has a handicap of 19. Mine is a 8.
I think if they watered this course, it would have played like a moderate course.
We might play it again after a rainy spell of like 2 mos.!
It's too bad as it could be a great enjoyable course to play. Invest in irrigations systems.
Outstanding value
Excellent course greens were in great shape fairways were very hard due to the heat and lack of rain.
typical public course with good value.
excellent greens, fringes and fairways. very little attention given to traps, rough, and cart paths. some very hilly holes. No starter and no ranger. first tee could be a free for all if the course is crowded. It was hot and humid when we played so we brought a soft lunch pack with sandwiches and water. It was a good thing since there was NO DRINKING WATER on the course and we didn't see the drink cart until the 10th hole. After we declined making a purchase the drink cart attendant told us that our "cooler" was not allowed on the course and we had to give it up or bring it back to our car immediately. We did neither and finished our round.
Good course
The course is nice, very playable and the price is right. Only negative is the pace was slow and the dress code is lax at best with a lot of tank tops and denim shorts. Tighten things up and this is a steal with a great layout.
Slow, slow, slow
Have played this course multiple times. The pace of play last season was fine, this year, not so much. Played on a two weekday afternoons in the past couple of weeks - fivesomes, guys lining up putts like it's the 72nd hole at the Masters, entire foursomes looking for a ball in the woods, before then having to go look for their own ball. There's just no effort to keep the round moving. Traps don't get raked and some of the tee boxes are just complete goners. The course itself is a nice challenge. Lots of undulations, greens are in nice shape, and the woods are punishing but give you a chance to scramble. The value is definitely there, but when you can't even get through 18 in 5+ hours on a weekday, something's wrong. If you are lucky enough to get out without getting stuck behind some meddling groups, it is one of the best bargains out there - it's just luck of the draw.
Enjoyable Course
We have been playing Sandwich Hollows for many years, including when it was called "Round Hill". For a town course, it is in good shape and enjoyable to play. And one of the absolute best bargains whether you play the $29.95 Wednesday or a discounted online tee time. You need a long drive on the Par 5 first hole to the top of the hill or better, or the hole will play a lot longer. One suggestion is to use a "spotter" on holes #2, #8, #14, and #18 to save some time looking for wayward balls. People complain about a slow pace of play, well knowing where your ball landed or if it is still in play will save some of that time! Don't forget to look up once in a while and take in the views of Cape Cod Bay (hole #3 especially). SH is a long and hilly course, like most Cape courses, and very enjoyable and challenging.
Thanks so much for the review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Sandwich Hollows Golf Club.
not the best and not the worst
For a town run course, worth the play. Do not expect manicured fairways, pristine tee boxes, sandy bunkers and fast greens , then you will truly enjoy your round. Paid $18.00 and I feel it was money well spent. The biggest issue is the pace of play, or should I say the LONG pace of play. Over 5 hours during the week day. Can not image the time during the weekend. Would I play again ? For that price and maybe a few dollars more, YES!.
Suggestion, do not try and walk the course, very hilly.

Fair Challenge
This course is a fair challenge with a lot of different features. Greens were excellent. Rough and fescue too thick. It deserves better care to be an excellent course.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Sandwich Hollows Golf Club.
The course is excellent
The course is excellent. It is long, challenging and in such incredible condition you would think it were a private course. However, the staff does not manage the tee times at all. People just tee off in whatever order they feel like. Similarly, no one from the staff manages pace of play out on the course. This free for all results in unnecessarily long rounds. We teed off just after 2:45 as a foursome. At 7:45 they came out and told us we had to end our round and come in. After 5 hours, we didn't even get to tee off on the 18th hole. I have played this course about 10 times and this is typical. Enjoy the course but bring a book for all the time you'll spend waiting.
Thanks so much for the review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Sandwich Hollows Golf Club.
Great Value
With the high cost of greens fees and cart fees and a soda and a hot dog, its great to know some golf courses understand the fast nickel vs the quick dime concept.
I'll play this track 5 times to every 2 at other courses.
Thank you Sandwich Hollows for understanding value.
Why do you think folks give up the game? TOOOOO expensive, end of story.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Sandwich Hollows Golf Club!
Hidden Gem
Nicely layed out course. Conditions variable. Good food in restaurant
if you got all day
course was fun , but very very slow I would like to play it again with all the people
Good option for cheap round
I'm a weekend hacker and like to get out for a cheap round when I can. This place was in my wheelhouse. Not terribly expensive (I paid 22 for 9 holes walking) on a Monday afternoon. Course was well maintained and moderately challenging. Best part of all - they have a nice clubhouse with good food and friendly bar-keep.

Varied yet Accessible
Great price, for which you get to see a lot of golf on one course. Holes do not become repetitive, and the hills make for a challenge to any level of golfer. The everpresent wind adds a further layer to this dynamic experience.

always a great track
Went to Sanwich Hollows yesterday. I always love the course and the layout. The course is always in good shape but yesterday I arrived and wasn't told that on the course the greens had been airified probably with in the past day or 2 so the greens were very bumpy and sandy. I just wish I would have known ahead of time as I would have skipped it this time so that wasnt as fun as it could have been.
Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing Sandwich Hollows Golf Club.
pace is too slow
I like the beautiful course very much and I like the food here. I will recommend my friends playing here. But Mr. Counter Man sometimes is not friendly and I don't understand why he needs to tread people this way as we are their customs. The pace is so slow but no rangers checking on it. A few rounds only front 9 spent 3-3.5 hours.
