Unicorn In Stoneham,MA
A hidden gem just North of Boston. 3250 yards from the Blue tees. Par 35. All you want. Great value too
It’s average not worth 40$
It’s an okay course. You are spending 40 dollars for an average 9holes. It’s not worth it. Come here only when you are desperate or book a tee time last minute
Unicorn not mythical!
Very average course. Expected more from a Wayne Stiles designed course. Most holes are straight with not much to keep you intrigued after a few rounds.
I'd play again
Cool course. Really could use a porta potty mid course.
Interesting course in good shape
I’ve played Unicorn several times this summer and it remains in good shape. The layout is a bit cramped, resulting in freedom to hit balls wide of the fairway, but resulting in delays as others come on to your fairway to play their ball the other direction. It’s a fair compromise.
There’s a good mix of lengths, so even if you’re a high handicap, If you keep it in your fairway you can end up with a decent number of par puts.
It’s inexpensive, so overall a very good value.
Ok course
This course was far from my house but only place tee time was available.
Good for a quick nine but…
Be prepared for lots of hard pan shots due to the drought. The greens were in pretty good shape as were most of the fareways. Any of your shots off the fareway are likely to be on burned out and very hard surface. Not sure what they can do as the drought has really wreaked havoc on courses like this.
No problem with price. Or service. Their practice green s are good but no driving range.
