I’m good condition
Good condition. Greens were fair. Bunkers need work and softer sand added.
Great course
it was our first time playing there. The course was well maintained narrow, fairways, and challenging, and a quick play.
Course is well maintained and very forgiving for the novice golfer.
Is what it is
Unicorn has a fun layout and fairly decent conditions. Definitely worth the price and staff is chill. The only glaring issue is pace of play is pretty slow there consistently. Lots of signs around the course reminding people about pace of play but not a single Marshall doing rounds. Great spot for beginners and friendly weekend rounds, if you’re looking for something serious with great amenities skip Unicorn.
Decent course, massively overbooked
Played as a single paired with a trio. We waited watched the group ahead of the group directly ahead of us finish every hole, then watched the group ahead of us play to a distance where we could safely hit. Two groups were stacked up behind us. Because the course was so packed, and the fairways are so narrow, we had multiple close calls of balls landing within 20 feet of a group member, either from the group behind or from errant shots off of adjacent tees.
Worried about even more safety issues, I left when it got too dark, having completing six holes in two hours. Will not be returning.
Great value
Best value around Boston and only 20 minutes away. Great conditions and layout for what it is. No complaints.
Slow play on the weekends
Overall this is a nice course and they maintain it well, but lately the weekends have been painfully slow. I think it’s overcrowded and they need to space out the tee times.
Unicorn review
The conditions were poor especially the tees. The greens were very hard and rough sparse
Unicorn
I love playing here but the course is always so backed up
Great course, great for beginners like me
I’m new to golf, I’ve been to driving ranges since I was a kid and played 9 holes every few years but didn’t begin playing consistently and practicing regularly until last month. Unicorn was my first course and I had a blast. The course is pretty forgiving, as there are no water hazards and very few sand traps. I think the price could be a little lower especially with the “convenience” fee that gets tacked on, but still a pretty decent value overall.
Monday Play !
Very enjoyable day today at Unicorn GC in Stoneham !
Great weather, provided a nice chance to play 9-holes !
Pace of play was solid, considering the number of players…
Unicorn staff very helpful, reminding all groups to stay on the move !
Good course but overcrowded
Course was in good shape but took us almost 3 hours. Sometimes 3 groups were backed up on a tee. Also with that many people balls were flying everywhere.. People didn't seem to know basic etiquette around ready golf and picking up if necessary. Would go again but not after work or a weekend.
Good course/good value
Relatively easy to get a tee time. Friendly and efficient staff. Course is consistently maintained and pace of play is generally quite good!
