Old School Bruce Mathews Design
This may be the oldest Bruce Mathews golf course in the state as it was built in the late 50's. Some of the greens of some of the best he designed (IMO) and have elements of the old Stiles and Van Kleek courses I have played. Conditions were good and what you would expect for public course in this price range.
Course plays over relatively flat terrain, some slight land movement on the back 9. Course is worth a play to experience some of Bruce Mathews best greens.
great old school family golf course
the owners really made us feel at home. this is a no fancy frills place. we played only 9 but the course was quite challenging especially with the small greens. the roughs we not too thick so golf balls did not disappear. a very enjoyable time. we will do 18 next time.
Challenging course, great staff, even better value.
If the Benton Harbor area this is a great value in comparison to others.
The greens are in better shape than before
Went to play 18 holes of golf with my wife, but after 9 holes it came a rain storm,so we didn't get to finish.
Would only play on a hot deal
I would only recommend this course on a hot deal. The course was terribly kept. There are lots of dead areas with no grass including on the greens. The sand traps were more like compacted dirt/clay (no give). There are a ton of weeds as well. The kid mowing the grass/greens stopped only when teeing off and mowed right next to us when we were putting. My grass at my house is kept better than this course. Perhaps I have higher expectations for a course. It was only $10/pp but I expect better.
$20 course
It was $22 and it was worth $22. Nothing special but nothing horrible. Fairways a bit eaten up and tee boxes uncut. Greens were okay. Pace was good on a Thurs morning at 8a
Great time playing a diffrentgolf course, good value with the golfnowvapp, great pace of play and the younger 1st tee program was going on.Great time
Great time playing a great time for the money, great value, good pace of play, used the golfnow app,so cheaper than normal, still a good value and great time golfing.Worth going to play
Great course for the price
We had not been to this course in over 20 years and were pleasantly surprised. Course was in very good shape overall. Had a slow group in front of us but they let us play through. Would definitely go back again as price more reasonable than other courses around.
Fun
Short but challenging due to the green size and tight fairways.

Enjoyable Afternoon of golf
A nice surprise - great bang for the buck.
This golf Has dramatically improved from the last time I played. The greens rolled true and most of the bunkers had nice sand and were properly prepared. This course was in the beat shape I have see it in the past 25 years.
As far as the course layout goes, it is a throwback to 75 years ago, small postage stamp greens, tree lined fairways and very flat and easy to walk.
It is an excellent family course, they also have a fun 9 hole course that is perfect for first time golfers (it actually used to be lighted back in the 60's and 70's).
I will likely be back now knowing that they are doing a much better job maintaining this hidden family owned / operated gem.
Overrated
Fine for a 2. Or 2.5 rated course but truly not a3.5 or 4 as I saw before booking bad sand also
good course for the money
had a good time, course was in good shape, staff friendly as always.
Blossom trails is great for the $
Blossom trail was a fun course. Looking forward to playing again.
Give this place a try
The course was in very good condition. The greens were excellent if you hit a good putt they went in. The back nine was much shorter but there is much more water in play. The staff was very friendly, I will play there again well worth the money.
Short strategic golf course
The golf course is in pretty average shape, very playable though. Course features include a few very short risk/reward holes. Accuracy will definitely help you into many of the tiny greens, which are pretty undulating for their size. The pro shop is pretty old but the food is very good and nicely priced. Overall the place is decent and worth visiting with a few friends.
Sporty
This course, while not being very long, offers some challenge that will force golfers to think more than just gripping and ripping it. Very small target greens and tight fairways on the back nine.
Nice course. not very busy. little wet in spots
We booked a tee time on the par 3 course, but die to a kids outing we asked to move to front or back 9 on the main course. Owner gave us a cart and let us play the back 9.
Surprising backside
Blossom Trail's front 9 is flat, wide open and just moderately challenging. However, the the back 9 is totally different with rolling hills, trees and challenging holes with several hazards. The blend of the 2 makes for a good round of golf.
