Lovely course
The course was in great shape- pace of play was perfect. Would definitely play here again.
Nice short course, but extremely slow play on the front 9
First time playing this course. The staff were friendly and the course was in good shape (other than the last 4 holes that were closed for green aeration). However, pace of play was a real problem on the front 9. I guess this course is really popular with seniors and we had 2 groups of them in front of us. It took us about 2.5 hours to play the front nine. Fortunately, the "seniors" only played 9 and we were able to play the back nine in a little over an hour. I had to replay 4 holes on the back to make up for the last 4 that were closed, but that was ok.
Nice little course, but no frills
The course itself is really quite nice. Medium speed greens, overall everything was well kept. There is a little restaurant next door where you can grab drinks, brews, and brats at the turn. The ladies there were very friendly.
The same can’t be said for the check-in experience. It really seemed like we were a bother to the guy at the front desk, both when arriving to check in and when returning the cart key. He definitely seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but behind the counter dealing with people. Unfortunately that will be our takeaway from the experience, so we won’t be returning.
Your mileage might vary, so it might be worth a try for a mid-priced round if you’re in the area.
Short course with perfect greens
Pebblewood might have the best conditioned greens I’ve played on in a long time, and they were nearly perfect. They were all lush, green without ball marks and rolled great, which was surprising for an inexpensive course. The greens keeper deserves a raise! The course is a little on the short side and played to a par 68 with just two par fives, both on the back nine.
Not much to look at when you check in and it appears like the structure has been there quite a while. However, the older gentleman who checked us in could not have been more helpful and was happy to see us.
Course is very flat with hardly any elevation changes. Decent number of small lakes on the property but the water really only comes into play on a few holes. The routing was hard to follow as we got lost twice trying to find the next hole.
For the price and greens conditions, it would be hard to do a lot better than Pebblewood. I’m sure for really good players, it might be a pretty boring layout but we had a great time on it. Would love to play it again the next time I’m in the area!
Amazing Greens!
Best Greens Ive Played this year including Bandon Dunes, Bandon Trails, Sheeps Ranch, and dozens of courses in the Oregon Midvalley. Havent played Pebblewood since Junior Golf in the 80's and decided to take my own kids out, pleasantly surprised! I am an Oregon State Turfgrass Graduate who's been in the industry for decades, whoever is maintaining the rugs at Pebblewood knows what they are doing. Small greens with slope, immaculate, slightly on the slow side and receptive perfect for the undulation and considering the rain the past few weeks. Honestly these greens were stunning and immaculate, see for yourself. Be careful though as the list price of $19 for 18 holes plus cart is misleading, this is their 9 hole price and you cannot pay trough TeeOff.
Worth the money
If your looking for a place to just get out and play this place is it, overall you’ll get a bit more than what you pay for.
Great staff and value
Extremely nice employees and for a casual round of golf you cant ask for a nicer place
Nice Course
The greens were in great shape. Pace of play great on front 9. Back nine slower. I don’t know if they put some people starting of back nine. It was still okay played round in under 4 hours. The guy working the pro shop very friendly. Shorter course but make up that by having smaller greens. Enjoyed the day.
Great Course for Great Value
For $36 18 holes with a cart its hard to find a better deal. The course is in good shape and layout is well done. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the old school clubhouse and bar. Will be coming back.
