Grandson's delight.
Played again with 18 yr. old grandson and had a great time. Course was well manicured, pace with many golfers on the course was very good. Slower walking players courteously allowed cart riders to play through. Very leased overall.
Good Value for SW Michigan
You cannot beat $15 for 18 holes on this course. It is not the most well maintained course by any means, but its worth $15, plus you have a good chance to score well, as it is not very challenging.
Weekend Getaway
I've been playing this course in the summers when we visit our family beach house for at least 30 years. Nothing has changed during that time. Nor could I ask for anything to change. Still quite challenging even after all these years.
It's not long, but there are enough holes that require perfect placement of your tee shot, that if you miss, you will be penalized. There are a few short (dare I say drivable) holes that make up for the few holes that are challenging.
A few of the greens are small and elevated, which helps put the challenge into a shorter course. There is plenty of water and sand, but they are all placed appropriately, to penalize bad shots and not interfere with good shots.
I've had the opportunity to play the course five times. I shot as high as a 87 and as low as a 77.
This course is wide open
Not very busy the day we golfed, may have been because of possible rain. Saw a falcon on the course. Not a difficult course, which is great for beginners or those looking not lose too many golf balls.
Great value for the recreational golfer.
Although I have certainly played on better maintained courses, this course offers the recreational golfer some challenging holes at a great price. The friendly enough staff, a few challenging holes, and low cost made for an enjoyable round of golf. I would definitely play it again.
Fine greens
Course overall was in great shape despite heavy rains the last couple days. Had the best putting round this year on their true greens.
fun course.
nice little course. well worth the money. some really easy holes and some challenging holes. long par 3's are nice.
Decent little course...
Got a really good deal through golf now. Course not very long and pretty flat. Greens were fuzzy. But it was a laid back place and we had a good time
Just not a good course.
Pebblewood is a course that I unfortunately play often because it is the closest and least expensive course near me. The course is never maintained well and the staff really does not care about having your business at all. They will water the course at 6:00 in the evening, even though people are just teeing off. Once it starts to become dark, flags are replaced with yellow painted broom sticks. The greens are the SLOWEST greens you will ever find and NEVER role true. The course is not "set up" for any kind of player, except the older golfers that hit it 80 yards and dead straight. There are maybe two or three legitimate golf holes on the whole course. The par of 68 does not even conform to the USGA standards of a tournament-worthy golf course (minimum par of 70). It's like the designer did not know if he wanted to make a par 3 course or a real course so he created the latter. I would not recommend Pebblewood to any one considers themselves an active golfer, however, it is best for those that play once a year or can not drive the ball longer than 100 yards.
Short course that is a lot of fun
- Starts with a challenging long par
- The front also has a fun risk/reward par 5 on which you have to go over water twice
- The back has a reachable par 4 and ends in two memorable finishing holes
- The front also has a hole designed for the slicer!
- Number 17 is my favorite, with water and bunkers all along the right side, you have to hit an accurate shot to a tight fairway, then again over water to a small, slanted, elevated green surrounded by bunkers. You drive through a picturesque covered bridge to approach the green and try your darndest to get a par!
I've been able to get around in less than 3 hours before – of course depending on how full the schedule is. Wednesdays they have leagues but they can still get you in by 8:30 or 9am. This is a fun little course for the money, with challenging par 3s, but still a lot for the long hitter.
Great course for a quick 18.
This is a short course that is great for beginners or those that want a quick 9 or 18 holes. Not much trouble to be found but if the wind is blowing off the lake it can be a little testy. Played it with my 5 year old daughter as a rider and the staff could not have been nicer to her. Small greens but inconsistent.
A great course that I like to play often.
Great course and challenging. The course was well maintained and had a variety of layouts (water, trees, hills, sand traps, etc.).
Nice course for the money
Nice course.Fairways were in good shape. The green speeds were a little inconsistent, but in very good shape other wise. Over all a fun day!!!
