Love this course
My only complaint is I wish they let you choose which nine hole course to play rather than tell you
Ranger issue
The rangers were telling us to speed up and skip holes, but when we stopped putting and picked up our ball, there were 2 sets of people on the next hole so we could not go ahead. This happened twice! The rangers need to get their facts story.
Greens Faster than Before
Might have just been a Monday roll day, but greens were much faster than I remember!
Great Value
This course has been on the bucket list of top courses in the area to play for me. Glad I finally got out here. Surprised to find out they have [3] 9 hole courses. Great condition. Great tee time spacing. No waiting to hit your shots and no one riding up on you. Keep up the good work pine knob
Simply beautiful
Not for the faint of heart, this course is tough and demanding. The greens are impossible to read. When you think you are putting uphill, it’s often downhill or vice versa.
The course is in immaculate shape and a pleasure to play. There were a number of large areas of ground under repair which made it difficult to play, but on the whole, it’s great value for the money, especially given that it is a municipal course.
They overbooked their tee times couldn’t finish before dark
This is a classic example of “only as good as your worst feature.”
The course is a fun mix of challenge and playability,
In great shape considering the lack of rain and hot dry weather
The carts and club house are all well taken care of..
This could easily be one of the best public courses
Except
Like many public courses they are still trying to maximize profits by overbooking their tee times and not managing slow players
Wife and I are good golfers, not great but good and for it to be 2:30 minutes for 7 holes of golf and being asked to leave because it’s dark before the 8th tee is a problem..
Not being able to finish because they won’t speed up their league games is a problem.. waiting 15-20 minutes between tee shots because league players take 27 practice swings and play three balls is a problem..
Letting players wander the woods and fish out golf balls with their retrievers is a problem
They need a ranger who will enforce pace of play..
If I ever went back and could play 9 holes in 2:30 minutes my review would go up dramatically..
Course Decision
Play here once or twice a year. Always in great shape. Only complaint was sent off early with a threesome, Don't mind the company but I am a old school golfer. No Music! When did It become necessary to have your IPHONE playing crap I don't want to hear? Barely liked the oldies before they were old. Show a bit of etiquette and leave it on Mute.
Great experience.
Last time I played this course was about 15 years ago.. I really did like the course. Greens were in good shape and had speed to them. Fairways were good in most places. Tee boxes really need some work. Loved that the starter would not give you the key to the cart to head to the first tee until 10 minutes went by after the group in front of you left for the first tee
Sunday Morning Golf
Played the Eagle and the falcon course was in great shape greens had some hair and could use a little cut but they rolled well.
Always a great place to play
