Hawk/Eagle at Pine Knob Golf Club

Eagle and falcon are great, got sent off on Hawk this last time for my back 9, hadn’t played it before, hope I don’t have to again.

5th time I have played it this year. Just a beautiful course.

Worst pace of play I’ve seen all summer. If you want a 6 hour round of golf play pine knob

One of my favorite courses close to my house. Some challenging holes but better players can shoot some good scores when playing well. Awesome driving range/ short game area. Great staff there as well. Definitely worth the green fees.

Pine Knob Golf Course is always the predictable good golf course. Staff is friendly, the course is always in good shape. It could get pricey at times, but if you get the Hot Deals, it very good value for the money. I connected with a 3 some, very nice chaps and played the Hawk and Falcon. As rated before, Hawk's first 2 holes are tight, but then it opens up. Falcon is a good 9 holes finishing with a big boy Par 5 slightly uphill at the end. One of my go to golf courses after leaving the private club scene.

This is a nice and challenging course. Will play here again.

What a wonderful opportunity to play this course. With fast greens, there are three 9 hole tracks to play. Bring the camera as some of these holes deserve to be photographed.

Booked a 3:30 Tee Time solo on Sunday afternoon. I like to play at this time due to a faster pace of play…

Well - pretty sure the Starter sent every single group off the same 9 as it took a min 10-15 min at each shot. 2+ hours in a Cart for 9.

Pine Knob with its 3 Nine Holes and is a steady choice for a good round of golf. Can be pricey without the Hot Deals & $10 off coupon. I prefer the Eagle and Falcon the original 18 holes the best, but I golfed the Hawk for the first time as my back nine and while #1 and #2 are tight (especially #2), it opens up from there and was a fun round. Staff was friendly especially the Starter. I was paired up with a twosome at 1:00 pm, but they went out early so I was a loner. They gave me a choice. Tee off early and see if the foursomes and threesome will let me play through or join a three some at 1:00 pm. I teed off early and told the threesome if things don't open up I'll join them. The foursome and threesome ahead graciously let me play through, but two couples ahead of was a "no go". Not even at the turn #1 on the Falcon. The men were just teeing off and saw me pull up, looked back and not a word. So I went to the Starter and he looked at the tee sheet and put me on the Hawk. Once the foursome on #1 let me go through, I finished in an hour. Great fun. Will be back and will bring my mates.

Given the lack of rain the course was overall in good condition. Several holes looked like the pin hadn’t been change in awhile because the edges had excess grass around them.

Best course in Oakland county hands down. Always well maintained, could do better to speed up slow 4somes of slower women especially during the day. Hit the ball watch it land put your club in the cart and move on be courteous to the ones behind you that are scratch golfers and hate waiting 15 minutes between each shot.
