Go to Course
As part of the Metro Parks System, it is the top 1 of my picks. Its fair and it requires some thought. Stoney Creek and Huron Meadows round out the top three, but Kensington is close behind. By far these courses are the best buys in town. Senior friendly pricing and a play 5 get one free is a plus.
Smoker choice
The ranger was very rude. Kicked us off @ 9pm on hole 18. We started the 18 at 4:32pm. We had groups of 6 jumping all over the course.
Also I’m a disabled veteran and I always take my spouse with me incase I have a medical problem. Even after showing them my paperwork from the VA they still charged her $15. We were a 3 some playing so not using an extra cart. Just very rude senior citizens working there.
Best kept public course I’ve played
Beautiful course. Early Saturday (7:52am) tee time got us there before the guard for the park so no one to pay the $10 park fee to (spent it on hot dogs at the turn instead).
Nice friendly staff. Greens were immaculate. Fairways clean and in great shape. Most tee boxes were 9 out of 10. A few a little beat up but just haven’t been rotatted yet for the day. A few bunkers were under construction but the rest were wonderful (yep spent some time in them). Real sand not hard packed concrete. Mostly straight but a few hard dog legs. Great hot dogs at the turn. 4:30 to play 18 with a stop at the turn.
Pace of play is always a concern but it kept moving well. Could see if you spend to much time looking for a lost ball it would hold up the pace.
Definitely will be back to play again $54/18 w/cart
Need a Ranger
This course is a great place to golf - we usually play it multiple times a year. But they need a ranger to get groups moving. There was a group of 8 playing together that slowed the pace of play to a crawl. Then the two some in front of us decided to wait on their second shots until the group ahead cleared the green. That is fine on most occasions. But when shots are only traveling about 75 yards and you are over 250 out that doesn’t help the pace of play! A ranger is sorely needed!! The sign in the clubhouse that said no rainchecks for slow play is a definite sign something needs to be done!
Slow
Super slow pace of play. They know it’s an issue because they have a sign that says no rain checks for pace of play. However, when I see a group of 5 and a group of 7, the course is at fault. They need to do better. The course is in decent shape like most metro courses but we have to be better with keeping pace. The bogey bro’s and good good boys need to learn some etiquette too.
Long
Long course, fairly open, well manicured greens. Overall good diveristy of shots.
Indian Springs golf
Very nice course nature is abundant. Difficult greens. Great value. Nice extras
IA nice day but a little long..
Everything great greens a little fast but consistent. but had to wait almost every shot due to slow play. on ranger help to move slow group along. still a nice daywith a great friend and 2 men they paired us with GREAT COMPANY but just a little slow for me.
Nice course
Great course, good staff, we'll maintained definitely going back
Great Deal for an Unexpectedly Excellent Course
We played the white tees at 6600 yards and the course was very challenging, yet extremely fair. Greens are crowned and make putting never easy. The day was a perfect high 60's to low 70's and pace of play was perfect. Yhis course is a steal at the price.
