Hawk/Eagle at Pine Knob Golf Club

Really nice course and in great shape for late in the season. Greens were fast, I can’t imagine how they are peak season. Played Eagle and Hawk course. Both were challenging but fair.

Pace of play was the only issue. Took nearly 5 hours as someone allowed a sixsome 2 groups ahead of us. Weather was perfect and the 3some they matched me with were wonderful people. Greens were fast and true.

No matter when I come here to play everything is the same. Great customer service and friendliness from the staff to the good course conditions. Would always recommend this course at anytime.

No ranger was on any course to regulate speed of play. As a result, Course was backed up by 20 minutes starting on the 1st tee (Eagle) even though we teed off 30 minutes early of our starting time do to no shows of other groups ahead of us.

There was also no beer cart on the course. As the regular price for 18 on weekdays is $45, no ranger or beer cart is unheard off.

One last comment. The greens where like concrete. Wedge shots to the greens resulted in balls bouncing back up as if they hit the cart path. Greens being fast due to slope rating is different then putting on a coat of green paint on concrete.

Great course overall but pace of play was super slow.

Second time playing here and I love this course. Beautiful scenery great layout but still playable. Only reason I wouldn’t rate it higher is due to the divots. Sad that the people playing the course are the only issue here. Regardless of that it is a wonderful course. Challenging but playable at the same time. I shoot low to mid 80s and this course will make me fight to break 90 which makes it fun. Get a hot deal under 30$ and you won’t be disappointed.

This was a very enjoyable day. The staff is extremely courteous and the course is in great shape. It’s a challenging and fun place with good risk reward. Greens are small and roll true. Really like the layout and individuality of each hole. Have been wanting to play here for a long time and I can’t wait to play it again. Reasonable rates.

Played 18 for $20 in the afternoon. Pace was slow but the course was in immaculate condition. Course is tight in some spots but an overall decent layout. Saw the beverage cart several times. The starter and proshop staff were both very friendly. Recommend checking the schedule for DTE Music Theatre - I played the back 9 with a concert happening next to us. I thought it was pretty cool but I could see how someone would be annoyed if they weren't expecting it. I definitely recommend, especially if you can book a HotDeal!

This is my third time playing here, it is challenging enough that I can play here every time. The greens are very fast and undulating, I think will take a few rounds before you you can 2 putts or under. Preferred to play the Eagles, and the Falcons.
