The course needs some tlc
The greens and tee boxes are very hard
The tee boxes are mostly sand with a few patches of “grass” left. The greens have huge spots where they’re just brown and damaged
With that being said it’s still a fun short track that lets you work through your bag on
Great course
I go once a week with friends or by myself. I use every club in the bag at least once. Staff are great, you can tell they are trying to keep the course in great shape with the high temperatures and lack of rain.
What happened to this course
I used to love this course when I was younger and learning how to golf. It was friendly and a really well kept course...new management, and the course is not what it used to be. The greens were in awful shape: patchy and rock solid. The cups were not cut clean; The fairways and tee boxes were rough too! Divots galore and hard as a rock. Couldn't even place a tee in a few of them (explains the divots). Then the staff was very young and presumptuous girls. I received no service from the Bev cart girl who drove by me 7 times, and the girls in the clubhouse were not very welcoming either. Very unfortunate experience, not the course I used to enjoy.
Nice par 3/4 course
I have been driving by this course for years, but never played…. It always looked good from what you could see going down telegraph road. Decided to take the wife there to play and give me a chance to work on my irons…. We enjoyed the course and would definitely come back and she got her 1st birdie of the year on #17…😎🏌🏾♂️⛳️
A bit of greens and rough/sand maintenance needed
This is a par 60 course w 12 par 3s, the rest par 4s. Still fun and a bit challenging with some of the longer par 4s. The rough needs a bit of a cutdown, some of the greens are damaged from standing water and the sand needs some help. The layout winds through residential along the Rouge River - which can explain some.of the water-logged looking greens damage.
Staff is fantastic, clubhouse renovated and very reasonably priced.
Do not like this place
First off some of the staff are rude, second, they sold 4 groups the same tee time then made us pair up. The course is rough. Tee boxes are tore up, mostly sand and dirt. You better hit the fairways everytime because the grass is overgrown and your ball sinks down in.
They over sell the course thrn teem you up with other groups and even then it took my 4some over 4 hours to play.
This course has great value
On cart range finder makes pace of play enjoyable.
