the course was not in shape at all
We were teeing of of grass! terrible and i felt i would not have paid even the discount price at all! very upset!
This course could be very nice if more attention were given by management.
I booked a foursome on golfnow for a 7:32am tee time. There was nobody that works at the course to open to clubhouse at 7:00am when it was scheduled to open. 1 of my playing partners left as nobody was there nobody at our tee time as well. 2 groups went off before us that were waiting as well. At the end of the round I was still charged for 4 golfers when only 3 stayed. I feel because management was not there to open the course as scheduled this was a mistake on their end and I should not have been charged for the lack of professionalism and reliability of their management. This has happened on 3 separate occasions at this same course.
No wonder there was only one car in the parking lot!
Made my tee time at 3 on golf now and then had to change it to the morning. I called the night before at 7 no one answered. Woke up early to call and make sure there were open tee times just like online said. So i call at 530 nothin, 6 am which was sunrise time still no answer, 630 nothin 645 nothin 646 the guy picks up the phone "hello!" Almost as if i was a burden calling. I ask to move my tee time to the open 816 time that is online and he tells me the only available times are 820 and 930. Ok 820 works, we pull in and there was only one other car in the parking lot! We go to pay and he charged us extra for switching the tee time to morning rates! There were two kids prolly mid 20's both more worried about sharing there weekend story then helping the customer! Went out and on every hole there was ground under repair sighns, rough prolly hasnt been mowed in 2 weeks. Greens and fairways were ok surprisingly. Starts to down pour we have no rain geae we finish 9 go to check the radar of course there was no radar along with the 2 usless employees had no knowledge of the weather. We walk into the bar area and the guy had to ask from the pro shop if we needed anything before he wasted the 10 ft walk to the bar!! So we ask for a refund on 9 holes he saus we cant i migjt be able to do a raincheck but dont think im allowed to do that either!
Needless to say theres a reason there was only one other car in the parking lot! Staff is beyond pour and course is going down hill fast!!! Consider yourself warned

Positives: The greens were in good shape and the fairways were in adequate shape. The American flags on the flagsticks were a nice touch, but added confusion if we should even lay them on the ground out of respect.
Negatives: Played this course many times over the years, but noticed this time that the maintenance and staff seem less invested in the success of the course. The carts were not readily available as golfers were arriving. They are gas-powered and sounded as if they would be lucky to complete a single-round let alone make it through an entire day. The cart paths may be a major contributor to the conditions of the carts. They are unpaved, which is fine, but they are rutty and full of roots in many places.
The rough is overgrown making it difficult to even locate a ball if you land there by chance, contributing to the slower play.
I was paired up with a couple of seniors who noted that their "rate" had increased by 30% since last year. This put the price point for them at higher levels than other areas courses that are in better shape.
There is a golf outing there next Saturday that I am playing in, so it will be interesting to see if any of these items are addressed before a large group outing.
The course is very well maintained.
We enjoyed the course. Very well maintained, especially the greens. Very playable, but yet still challenging for golfers of all abilities. Staff was friendly.
Course and staff need attention..
To start off, our group had a tee time @ 7:00am. The first employee did not show up until 7:05am, after charging us each $44.00 and getting carts out, we finely hit the first tee shots at 7:20am. Once on the golf course, we found that the condition of it has a lot to be desired. There is weeds and clover growing ever where, tees, fairways, greens and sand bunkers, (where there is sand). It looks like the only maintenance being done to the golf course is mowing the grass and they are not doing a very good job of that. For the money and course conditions, there are far better courses around for the value than this one. Will be a very long time before ever thinking about going back.
GREAT COURSE TO WORK OUT THE KINKS.
VERY FORGIVING COURSE, THE FAIRWAYS ARE OPEN AND WIDE FOR THE AVERAGE GOLFER, GREENS WERE CHALLENGING, BUNKERS WELL MAINTAINED.
Cut The Grass
I haven't played here in about 5 years, and now I remember why. The rough is very long and we lost several balls that were just off the fairways. We spent way to much time looking for our balls, and it just got old after awhile. I don't know of any other course that keeps their rough this long, It is an OK course, nothing special.
Nice Fun Course
Easy open course with moderate length. Enjoyed playing it. I will return!
I would classify this one as 'medium'
We played this during customer appreciation week, which was a huge mistake...........if you like 'free golf', you can play HH last week of oct each year...........we opted to pay the cart fees and give it a whirl..........aside from the obviously long waits, we were a little disappointed with the condition and layout, as we had to drive 40 miles to get beat up(weak grin) by this course.......between my wife and I, we lost approximately 12 golf balls ..........under the leaves............in the fairway!........we may give it another shot next year IF we can get a great deal, only!
NOT QUITE A GOOD DAY BUT GREAT WEATHER
PROSHOP ATTENDANT HAD TO VERIFY THAT MY GOLF NOW SHEET WAS FOR 18 HOLES---HE LEFT TO FIND SOMEONE AND THEN RETURNED TO SAY OK.
WE PLAYED BEHIND A FIVESOME--JUST A LITTLE SLOW.
LEAVES EVERYWHERE-LOOKS LIKE NO ATTEMPT HAD BEEN MADE TO REMOVE ANY. CART PATHS IN BAD SHAPE IN MANY SPOTS---BUT I WOULD PLAY COURSE
AGAIN BUT PROBABLY NOT RECOMMEND AT THIS TIME.
Worth playing again
I played all 18 holes in the rain :) Had a great round. The course soaked up the rain pretty good even though the greens slowed to about a 4 on the stimp. The weather was terrible, but the course was still busy enough that I played through about 7 groups. All invited me to play through without having to be asked.
GREAT price!! Course is OK. Wrong address from golfnow.com.
Average course, but GREAT price. I think we paid $17 for 18 w/ cart. Golfnow had wrong address listed, so map/GPS took us 10 miles out of the way. Glad we left early to get there. ProShop employee called golfnow while we were there to report the wrong address.

Could be an EXCELLENT course w/ some tender care
PROS: I've been playing this course for 25 years so it goes without saying that I like it. It can be enjoyed by players of all caliber by picking the appropriate set of tees. That said, if your game is on you can score here, if not, it can bite you. I love the large fast greens which are well kept and the generous fairways which help keep the pucker factor low. CONS: Many cart path areas need repair, asphalt and gravel paths alike. Many unrepaired ball marks by the few morons who fail to fix their 'lucky hits'. Note to morons - real players fix theirs!
Thanks for the sincere comments from a "regular". We too have been playing Heather Highlands for 25 years and love the layout and the conditions. It's one of our favorite places to play.
